Catching all 151, er, 368, er ... a lot: The Pokemon Infodump Party!

I caught an onyx at panera!!! The sucker cost me five pokeballs but damnit i caught him!

Eta: i just caught a pinsir on first try, 279 cp

 

Okay so i finally have enough candies to evolve a geodude. Should i power him up first (more geodude hunting) or do i go straight into evolution?

 

Minmax strategy dictates that you should evolve first and see if his new moves are any good before you power him up, but in the long run it doesn't really matter.

 

Ahhhh i love location dependent pokemon- went to the park today thats between a pond and the river and caught both a poliwag and a goldeen, and last time i was there i got a krabby. Also caught a haunter today in the middle of town(Was he lost? It was the middle of the day and there were no cemetaries near where i got him) with a whole 17cp ://///

When I was little, I was afraid that there was a Gengar in the basement of my house.
It has recently occurred to me that that could be true.

 

so um
basically i've never played anything pokemon at all ever all my life (besides activity book games when i was 6)
and then my best friend basically slamdunked me into the 'mons by sending me a bunch of roms and a hack of soulsilver
and i finally got around to playing a bit today

i didn't expect it to be that fun and cute...

like basically friend just, quizzed me about what starter i'd pick, then sent me a whole ton of files and told me how to set them up and how to save and stuff and then let me have at it

that's probably the most inane answer i could've possibly given.

 

that reminds me of the instinct family that comes around here. they supposedly go from town to town taking over gyms and just dominating in general. it's kind of intimidating.

As i said in my status thing, I HATCHED A CHANCEY. Its... a pretty weak chancey but it came with 32 pieces of candy, so im chill.

 

Yeah, I got a Pinsir too. And if I hadn't already had a fairly buff Pinsir that walked right into my living room it would have been great, but... motherfucker, I walked 6.2 miles to hatch your ass, how very dare you present me with this weaksauce Pinsir. Give me your candy and gtfo.

 

There's a pinsir hanging around tbe plymouth waterfront, but I haven't been able to catch the little bastard

 

Oh yes, i finally caught an abra as i got out of my psych appointment this morning, in the elevator. Only 10 cp but i dont care 'cause i finally caught an abra!!!!
