*smiles softly* Oh yeah, right. That does makes sense. Sure, none of us want to commit genocide, but that doesn't mean we should let Genie or anyone else do whatever they want with our bodies.

    :consent:, basically!

My kind is hermaphroditic. I consider myself an object, an It, but I don't really care about what pronouns one sees fit to describe myself with.

However, you cannot murder the concept of gun violence, even if I myself am slain. We will live on.

I'm not sure the concept of 'genocide' applies to demons. I haven't given much thought to it because I'm unlikely ever to have the power to do it. But I am not convinced that the multiverse would be a worse place than it already is were there to be no more parasitic handguns who survive by tricking sentient beings into their own enslavement and laying their eggs in the bodies of unwilling victims.

I consider the concept of "gun violence" as opposed to "sword violence" or any other kind of violence to be pretty much bullshit.

Actually, yes. Or forgot. Either way, don't give a melted scraplet about collateral damage when it comes to protecting myself and my closest.

Fair. Don't care about group as a whole, just individuals that happen to be a direct danger.

It should be considered that I, for the most part and with some exception, lack self-determination. I do not know the extent of a transformer's ability to determine its own fate, but I am certain that even the protesting firearm is more capable of determining its fate than I.

I follow the will of whoever's hand I lay in, so that I may enforce the will of Karma. I have no will of my own.

Yeah, that would probably be an improvement. It just feels weird to think. I mean, if I start by wanting all the parasitic guns to die, will I become okay with feeling the same way towards groups that are actually pretty harmless, groups that don't make the multiverse worse?
*sighs* *looks down* So none of this is your choice?

No, it is all in my genetics. I may make decisions that I feel would best follow Karma's will, and enjoy debating with people, but I cannot ignore the purpose I serve.

    Your genetics?

But genes don't boss people around, not really. They're designs, not destiny.

Sounds like slag to me given other things that you've said here, but somehow I get the feeling that this 'Karma' deity is about as fair as Primus. Which is to say not at all.

I may say all this, but it is not of my design to disagree with any of it. I enjoy it all. Greatly.

Look, clearly this species is parasitic, on the level of... what was that thing cybertronians have? Scraplets? We don't have them on Devisiun. Is it murder to deal with scraplets?

I suppose that would depend on whether or not you consider scraplets sentient. If so, yes-- but it's also self defense and justifiable.

I don't think so, no. *shrugs*

I'm not always comfortable with the notion that sapience is the only requirement for personhood, though. Demons are sapient, and some of them have actual free will rather than just having instincts and drives. But they also have basically no purpose in existing other than to destroy other sapient beings morally, emotionally, spiritually, psychologically and physically. They're almost purely destructive, and when I actually can destroy one I don't feel guilty about it, and I would feel the same way about parasitical weapons that lay eggs in people.

Many sapient species can be destructive, but there's something special about a species that has no other purpose.

I suppose if I ran into a parasitic weapon that didn't want to lay eggs in people or enslave them I'd have second thoughts about destroying it...provided it could actually not do those things.

    But again, I'm not human.

I'm an apex predator and an obligate carnivore. I have a different relationship with killing than humans do. I recognise it as a necessity for my continued existence, but at the same time, it's not my reason for living and I don't kill sapients for food or enjoy the suffering of sapients.
