Spoiler: spoilers AND bullshit discourse! Apparently people are claiming Rose was probably straight due to Pearl's implication that most of her human lovers were male? Even though Pearl pretty much states that she and Rose actually were romantically involved. SIGHHHH. Bisexuality/biromanticism exist. Also, I honestly think this is in my top three. It might actually be my new fave, but it's hard to pick between this one and Sworn To The Sword. Pearl gets such amazing episodes. ;-;

funnily enough, one of the people i saw claiming rose was straight was also rooting very heavily for bi pearl. like you can't claim bi representation while also erasing a canon bisexual character. that is not how this works. she literally kissed pearl on-screen during their fusion dance how is this woman a heterosexual. auuuuuuugh (grumbles about dave strider too but thats not even relevant)
and, idk, maybe the reason she was only dating men on earth is because they literally did not exist on homeworld? steven is canonically the only male gem.
this is a small inconsequential detail but Spoiler when greg was at the bar & instead of drinking his glass was full of cherry stems because he's been drowning his sorrows BY EATING CHERRIES greg is actually too precious for this world and im still too emotionally compromised by the rest of the episode to have rational thoughts on it that aren't just pointing & scream-crying pEARL
This is legit my headcanon. For Rose, men would be downright exotic. Plus...well, I don't doubt that she dated human women too, honestly, but statistically, men would probably have a higher chance of being attracted to her.
I mean, if I saw a bunch of weird, attractive aliens, I'd probably at least contemplate dating them. in other news, have I mentioned how much I love the color of Rose's lipstick (which is not actually lipstick cause rock holograms) unless it is lipstick, because she went WEIRD HUMAN THING I AM GONNA USE IT
