Junkrat is amusing. Also I continue to be awful at Pharah and this makes me somewhat sad but dammit I am adamant about playing her. Also I got a play of the game and it was exciting because it was the first I had gotten. I got it as Mercy.

SADLY WE LOST THIS GAME. But boy howdy did me and that Junkrat do lovely in capturing the first point alone.

Ana's on the PS4!!! She's so fun to play, but you gotta fight for her if you wanna make any sorta pretense at proper team balance. She's kinda like D.va, where I'd prolly only play her as a secondary support, cause relying on her aim to heal critical teammates is dicey. Plus if your mates stack up, you'll have a hell of a time trying to find the right one to shoot. Unreliable, is what I'm saying. Backed up an Ana as a Zenyatta once and that turned out pretty okay. Speaking of Zenyatta, they bumped up his speed during his Ult and it is pretty fucking funny to watch him nyoom around.

 

I am tempted to just pick her anyway because fuck it. It's not like anyone is going to play halfway decently for a week after her release and I'm just doing the shitty quickmatches anyway. Fuck team balance let's go all Ana. Like the all Widowmaker and one Mercy team I was on yesterday but worse.

Holy fuck Blizzard made a sniper that I actually like. I was kind of worried about whether I'd enjoy playing as Ana because I hate sniping a lot. But honestly I really like this? Her heals are fucking powerful for single target. Like really god damn so. If you're accurate anyway. Still there's something pleasant about being able to hide away and heal. Or to actually make those clutch ass far away heals that you always wanted to make as the others but couldn't due to range. Like seriously it's helped me save our contesting of a point before. It's lovely. REALLY LOVELY.

Also the Ana brawl is hilarious chaos.

 

I hit a pretty bad glitch yesterday. Attacking Nepal, and our two Meis iced the doors in our spawn, and they just would not go down. The other team had to come rescue us. I D.va jetted out of there and spent a minute or so just running around with no support or back up (the Meis re-iced) just like screaming. "Oh god, don't send me back, please, no"

i am so sorry for my current lack of storytelling skills I'm tired and it doesn't come naturally to me, this post is so much longer than it needs to be

I was in a quickplay game with a friend, defending on route 66, and decided to play Zenyatta bc why not, I wanted to try him out and we didn't have a healer. Immediately, some asshole in the chat writes, in all-caps, NOT ZENYATTA. TANK. and then something I can't remember, followed by EZ LOSE
I reply, mainly just shrugging it off, he insults me, and then off goes the game
(funniest part of this is he's playing Reaper. On defense. When we don't have a tank. Gee, dude, you sure are setting a good example there.)
anyways I switch to Mercy the first time I die (which is really soon), and about thirty seconds into the game he declares I'm a 'shit healer', so I decide to follow @KathyGaele's principle and refuse to heal him. Bc he's an asshole.
We lose that game, and then it's our turn to attack, and i actually have footage from this last game so let me just quote directly from the chat before game start

he then proceeds to complain about the lack of tanks again, someone else in the team tells him (in french) to pick tank himself or shut up.
His friend spams the 'move the payload' button through the entire game aaaand I play the best fucking Mercy I have ever played. I keep (nearly?) my entire team and myself alive through half the map and I myself don't die even once until we've reached the second to last point, and I don't heal him one. single. hitpoint. (My friend also does really fucking well - he'd set it as his goal to lock the asshole out of all the gold medals, and he definitely did.)
End of the game and the asshole is nowhere to be seen on the nomination thing but I am, and I get nine upvotes. (...I did vote for myself, but in my defense, I did play really well.) Assuming asshole and his friend didn't vote for me, that's four people from the other team, and they HADN'T seen him talk shit about me, so those can't even have been sympathy votes :D
(Next game he's on the opposite team. He leaves immediately.)

My favorite thing is when the assholes who bitch and moan end up not placing anywhere on the cards. Especially if the person they're bitching out gets all the votes. There is something so good about it.

 

Had a Soldier 76 once who was silent the whole game, but took the last few seconds of the match to inform us that we were terrible and dragging him down. Didn't see his dumb ass on the board.
