Spoiler: 55 previews Oh man, the birds are so snarky! I love it! I love them! Also I love the revelation that the other Autobots weren't supposed to get hurt. It just makes everything sadder for Getaway. Also, lol at the idea that Overlord would leave the other Autobots alone.

It was a huge cast to manage). It would be so great if Tailgate had to save him. *no sign of Nightbeat or Rung in the preview, I predict that shit is going down with them. @Loq I'm at least 110% sure that Dominus is still alive, or will be shortly. His storyline is too juicy to drop. At least we'll get some kind of message from beyond the grave. *RAVAGE IS STILL HOLDING ON! :D Wait, so if only Outliers had special abilities, why could Trailcutters be transfered from one mech to another. Wouldn't that mean that they could just duplicate his tech and distribute it like a weapon to others?
Spoiler: MTMTE 55 preview Remember that they can't even duplicate regular Forged hands; otherwise Ratchet wouldn't have gone through so much trouble. Cold Construction is still not that great even when trying to get just a regular Cybertronian. Theoretically there's nothing that would stop them from building good hands from scratch, but they can't at the moment, possibly because they spent like a third of their history at war. So Megatron just took Trailcutter's hands, which housed the forcefield generators, just as Ratchet took Pharma's hands and their surgery abilities.
Spoiler: MTMTE55 preview I always thought that with Ratchet, it was more of a mental thing. He had to have the best, otherwise he would never be sure that it was good enough. But that explanation still makes a lot of sense. Megs did have an ambition to be a doctor eons ago, so he could have acquired the skills needed to install them. I wonder if all the Outliers powers come down to an unusual/extra component? It's so strange to think about, the robots just have to live with the idea that many of their capabilites can be removed and repurposed.

That's actually interesting, because it reminds me a lot of his color scheme in TFA. I agree on the attractive thing too, I always go for muted/dark/cool colors over the bright ones. As much as I love the guy, he and Rung have color schemes where, like... I accept them, but I wouldn't have chosen them. And depending on the Consequences (or heck, even with the consequences just standing as they are now), I can see him taking a more serious turn after the current arc is over. Something like after the vote of no confidence, but without motherfucking neglectful dadimus prime around to tell him that his ideas are dumb. I still think he'll be rodimus, I don't think the writing will derail that far, but I'm very intrigued about where his character development is going to go.
Reading that interview and JRo says "I want you to be so emotionally compromised after reading an issue that you can’t even make sense of what you’re feeling." Well, you've certainly succeeded in that before, but it fills me with dread for the future, not gonna lie.
I love Rodimus as a bright and flashy character. I can't imagine him any other way. EDIT: If they turn the Lost Light comic into yet another grimdark transformers miltary campaign comic, I don't know what I'm gonna do.
this is a beautiful turn of phrase And. I feel like if blue-and-purple Roddy is canon, I'm gonna start mixing him up with other characters again. He and Rung rarely share panel space and they have such different personalities it's usually easy to tell who they are just by body language, but... if he joins the stable of Large And Blue Robots, I am gonna have Problems.
I really don't think that is likely to happen given JRO's entire style. What I think MIGHT happen is Rodimus having a bit of a somber phase where he tries to figure out if he can do serious and mature? maybe? which also sounds a little weird but liek I do note the purple+blue color scheme makes him look awfully decepticon-y and Megs is aorund so it might be to signify him switching which authority figure he latches onto unhealthily maybe?

while I do think the colour scheme is very nice and complements his lines nicely, he looks like he's going through his goth phase. not that there's anything wrong with that, primus knows i never left mine, but... rodimus, painting over your problems is not going to magically make them go away. and you are not darkness incarnate. maybe swerve set him up with some within temptation, idek
