In other news played Zenyatta. He was fun. I should try at him more. I've still yet to play anyone not-support save for Pharah really. I should...Fix that.

ALSO I NEED TO FIND PHARMERCY FANFICTIONS. Urgh. I have read only like three I liked. Am I too picky? D: Also none of the ones I've read really played with my favorite bit of her canon shit. Which is how duty and mission focused she was according to the comics. Like to the point where she willingly left someone for dead without any shits given because THE MISSION.

 

Seen yesterday: TWO bastions plus Reinhardt with his shield, sitting on top of the payload

 

Sibling mentioned once seeing a Bastion, two Reinhardts, and two Mercies.

 

My counter to that is to go Bastion myself and earn 17 or so recon mode kills. Between that, the healer, the Symmetra or Torbjorn, and the enemy Reinhardt, you ensure they don't get a card at the end.

Whether you win or lose, at least the bastards playing cheap don't get commended for it, yeh?

 

Counter is a poor choice of words, but I can't play Genji or Pharah well enough to actually counter. All i can do is make sure I get the moral victory, yeh?

 

Added myself to the table of players linked on the first post. I self-admittedly are not good at FPS games, but kudos to Blizzard for making this fun even when you suck

A bit tired of the fandom characterization of D.VA as a child, TBH

 

yeh. weirdly enough, not so tired of Junkrat as fandom babbu. Prolly cause it comes with less smug "and now you can't ship him!" bullshit. I dunno.

 

Cause with D.va, it's all wrapped up in "if we make her out like a literao child then it's gross if people are attracted to her even tho she's an adult!!", and with Junkrat it's like, he promises Roadhog that he'll behave himself while they're out and about and throws tantrums when his team loses the point and junk like that. Junkrat seems like legit childish to me, and the Junkrat is a Kiddo stuff seems more like it's naking fun of that aspect of his charwcter then calling him a literal baby, yeh?

 

Whereas my personal headcanon of D.VA is that she's actually way more serious and adult underneath; the cutesy mannerisms are a front.

 

I mean, she is a performer, that'd make a lot of sense...

 

I have to commend Blizzard on the game's ability to work out which characters you like the best and ensure almost nothing drops in loot boxes for them, but all kinds of stuff for ones I don't care for. I have legendary skins for some of them, and only default skins for the ones I like.

 

I have to commend Blizzard for that time a loot box gave me THREE SPRAYS AND ONE SKIN ALL OF WHICH I ALREADY HAD, GODDAMN YOU. Its given me the same Mercy skin, I swear to christ, FOUR TIMES NOW. I already have a purple imp skin for her, I'm never gonna need anything else. Fuck, it gave me both Winston explorer skins when ALL I WANT IS THE FUCKIN SPACESUIT. RAAAHH.

 

A friend of mine mains Junkrat. Like, 40 hours of Junkrat gameplay, no one else. They are committed, and will play nothing but Junkrat.

They haven't gotten a single Junkrat drop. Since the open beta for stress testing. Not one.

(I am nearly positive there is actually an algorithm going on there, either to encourage playing other characters or to encourage buying loot boxes. I've had to buy all of my Pharah and Sym stuff, sprays notwithstanding, while getting a fair amount of drops on characters like Bastion and Winston.)

 

Bad dude healer ideas! Talon agent, heavily involved in making Widowmaker Widowmaker. Codenamed Echidna. Spearheads a Talon suersoldier program. Likes outrageous monstrous constructs, a bit miffed that something as tame as a brainwashed blue skinned sniper is her only true claim to fame. An easygoing, affable kind of vile dirtbag. Polite, soft spoken, a bit of a deadpan sense of humor. Thinks making people upset is hilarious, and lioes doing stff that on the surface seems innocuous but hits people the wrong way. Plays innocent.
Was thinking her look'd be pretty plain. A chick, about average height, kinda stocky. Business suit, jacket removed, tie loosened, soeeves rolled up, something like a butcher's apron covered in suspicious stains thrown overtop. Wearing one of those helmets you see Talon grunts wearing in the comics and whatnot. Casual, kinda creepy but not trying too hard to be?
Weilds a machine gun with a bandolier full of needles. Thinking it'd shoot somewhere between 76 and Tracer, like the fire rate and feel of it. Kinda a smaller gun, could weild it one handed. Was looking at machine pistols. I dunno. Switches between two types of amo, a heal and a debuff, like how Lucio switches speed and heals. Heal doesn't dirrectly heal, but gives targets an independent health regen. Stronger and longer lasting the more you hit them with. Would be an icon of a yellow bar or something that fills up above their health bar, shows how strong it is and how long it'll last. Stays at a stable rate for a tic after you stop shooting, but the potency of the regen tics down as time runs out. Debuff has the same sorta setup. Should be orange, to contrast the blue of upped damage. Lowers damage enemy can do. Gun can't do damage. Like Mercy, needs to switch to another tool to deal damage. Was thinking it'd be a melee weapons, just for giggles. Knuckle dusters or something. Maybe she actually does wicked damage, but can only melee? Be kinda funny. Other ability would be a mutagen of some sort. Close range, jab a single aly with a needle full of gick for some sort of buff. Maybe a random one?? Could totaloy whiff that way. Like, giving 76 ricocheting bullets would be cool, but it'd do jack shit for Junkrat. Posoning Tracer's bullets would be cool, but wouldn't work on Ana. Etc. I dunno about this one. Ult would berserk an enemy, make them randomly attack their team. Force them to kill them or dodge them or whatever. Could miss with it, I'm thinking. Maybe automatically has them burn alo their abilities they have up?? Maybe even ults. So when the dude comes to they got no abilities.
