    Don't worry, he'll make you regret those Prowl feelings soon enough! But then you'll KEEP feeling sorry for him, and he'll keep on being the biggest shitheel in the known universe (except for spike witwicky) and you'll feel SO BAD FOR HOPE MUCH YOU LOVE HIM. At least that's how it goes if you're me. FUCK do I love this asshole.

    ...I. Honestly any redemption arc of his had better be good. Really good. And I might be too attached to Starscream for it to work. (Who I am very aware is Also an asshole but he´s my asshole, to paraphrase the comic)

    Wait there´s an edit there. If you mean Megs making me feel sorry for Prowl, yeah. Being mind controlled sucks ass.

    Yes, sorry! I got distracted in the middle of typing and you posted before I got back to it :P I am genuinely proud of Starscream and how he's done for himself once he gets space to breathe, and Megatron's personal growth is a REALLY well-executed thing. Starscream is my favorite, like my FAVORITE-favorite, and I get way too emotional over everything to do with him, and I'm still really on board with Megatron's arc. I think they should stay very very far apart and never talk again (though also I want them to talk a lot because I enjoy Starscream's suffering and like to see my faves in pain). But yyyeahhh, it's really for the best that they ended up in separate ongoing series.

    Speaking of Screamy and suffering, I have yet to find anyone dommy to ship him with other than Megs. (Which is nice for the fucked up quadrant but...)

    WINDBLADE, WINDBLADE! And maybe lowkey dommish Wheeljack. Because Starscream seems like he'd do SO well with someone who would actually follow through with the caretaking+praise side of the d/s experience, and both of those two are total sweethearts. I have done UNGODLY amounts of telling with @coldstars about how amazing a Starscream/Wheeljack/Windblade trine would be, with Windblade/Starscream especially being a super-pitch relationship. I can type the dynamic out better later this afternoon if you're curious, but I think that like... She wouldn't be a CRUEL dom. I think her overall style would be relatively gentle, and she'd be good with the positive reinforcement. I have like... a six fic minimum stores planned out for these three, if I ever get around to actually writing it :V

    (you meet Windblade for the first time in Dark Cybertron, which starts at issue 23, so you're getting close! And I don't remember, have you read any of the other idw comics before, or is RiD your first?)

Because see...Starscream is Suffering™ but like hell would he ever willingly divulge weaknesses and vulnerabilities to someone he considers a rival. So you take one inexperienced dom Windblade who has minimal context for the civil war, add a Starscream who refuses to safeword out even when he's getting Megatron flashbacks, ADD WHEELJACK for gratuitous additional Wheeljack♦Starscream to help bridge the communication/culture gap when Windblade and Starscream inevitably hit a bad snag that Starscream can't front his way through, and end with gentle but firm dom Windblade who ties Starscream up and turns him into a melty puddle of Seeker with praise while Wheeljack keeps Starscream grounded and ??? PROFIT

    My current headcanons for him are that he likes being overwhelmed/sensory overloaded enough to make his brain shut up. Which he will even admit to. He won´t to wanting to be praised as a sub. (Because he is totally a switch, definitely guys.)
    If you Do overwhelm and then praise/cuddle him he is pretty much putty in your hands. And being able to reclaim things he did with Megs for survival for himself IS nice.

    I do think that Starscream wants scenes that reenact some of Megatrons abuse and is INTENSELY uncomfortable with this.

    (Wow this is hard to make into words, please forgive weird phrasing)

    Addition to above: Wasn´t meaning to imply Megs abuse was sexual, more thinking of how TFP Starscream spends most of his time around Megs on his knees. (And the whole calling him Master thing)

    Shitty pirates of spotlight: megatron are right here! Ahh, everything is happening while I'm stuck on my phone. But basically, Megatron shut down an attempted coup by Starscream, told him that when he died, Starscream WOULD lead the decepticons, it would just happen in its own time. Shortly thereafter, Megatron died (apparently) and the autobots kicked everyone else's assess super hard and the decepticons got stranded in a desolate asteroid. Starscream, shockingly, was unable to miraculously convert this crushing defeat into glorious decepticon victory. He did nothing wrong and honestly played things pretty straight. But Shockwave and Soundwave were secretly rebuilding Megatron behind his back, and now Megatron is waking up and is ready for some fun!

    Dammit. I guess I should have known better than to think it was a redemption arc or even grey morality arc. I guess I was hoping/expecting it to be more than I realized.

    Thoughts:
    "I this more." Bumblebee, even though he wasn´t there, assumed "this" was power. I kinda wonder if maybe it was what Starscream was Saying he wanted. His internal monologue seemed to indicate he really did want peace. Maybe considered killing Metalhawk an acceptable price for that.
    Which doesn´t excuse it, but ruins his character development less than: "Naw, he´s just evil and wants power."

    Because honestly I´m feeling kind of betrayed by the writers right now. You give me all that delicious character development/redemption for THAT?

    His character development isn't done! Though I do agree that is a pretty significant setback. But I never got emotionally attached to Metalhawk, which helped me out there :P
