as a tiny, I watched a pokemon episode where pikachu's bottle of ketchup broke, and I pretty much lost it and got super upset over that poor pikachu. thinking about it now still makes my eyes water, though not enough to fully cry

 

Something is wired wrong in my head where I can read true stories of unspeakable despair and only feel a vague detachment, but cheesy, insincere sentimentality -- even for the purposes of satire -- makes me tear up.

i cried today because

my mom works for the county court and today she heard that a cop was called in because a pit bull was being a nuisance and climbing into a neighbor's yard to chew their lawnmower's tires. it wasn't being aggressive and would leave when they shooed it away, but it kept coming back so they called the cops to come issue a fine to the owner.

the cop gets there and the dog runs toward him and he shoots it in the leg. they had to amputate the leg. now they're taking the owner to court to decide if they should kill the dog and make laws against owning pit bulls in the county. there's a LOT of controversy on whether it was aggressive or just going up to greet him, and the police chief is known for being kinda crooked and covering his ass to get the blame off his officers in these situations. we own a pit bull and we've had her since she was a puppy, we're unsure if she would be grandfathered in to a law change. there's also a lot of pitties in the shelter right now that would be put down.

then i watched fruitvale station cause my friend wanted to and cried even harder

I saw a beautiful mass of flowering shrubs taller than my head and covered with bona fide WALLS of brightly colored flowers, and I bawled at it for a few minutes.

 

tearing up a bit just thinking of that, it sounds wonderful. platns are so good.

 

I restarted Dragon Age: Origins to see if I can get past goddamn Orzammar this time and decided to romance Alistair for the hell of it because I went with Zevran in my previous playthroughs (plays-through?)

I cry when I get stressed, even a little bit stressed. I'm like a tropical flower that withers up and dies as soon as its growing conditions aren't perfect anymore. I had to go to a meeting with my advisor today and it was so stressful to tell him that I'm going to fail a class and I need to change minors that I started openly weeping.
