Ok some actually safe observations: This art style is not my fave but it is clear so no big complaints about that.
And my ipod just started playing Bohemian Rhapsody, which seems to fit in an absurd way considering how sad the lyrics are.

So you´ve wanted it for years but him getting and using it is now wrong and pathetic?

So, you didn´t want him for a second in command. You wanted him for a punching bag. And now you´re punishing him for
a) Doing what he thought you wanted and
b) Not pulling a victory out of his tailpipe.
I have no words.

Reality does not work that way Megs. So take it, fold it till it´s all sharp corners and shove it where it hurts.

In conclusion: Whatever redemption arc has gotta be some kind of miracle because right now I really just want Megs to go stick his spike into a black hole.

 

ExRiD 12: Poor Starscream. Srsly is Megs ever Not gonna fuck shit up for him?

 

So we´ve got Starscream trying to change things. I think he wants to believe what he´s saying, even if he can´t really.



So much for that.



And so much for friendship. Even if his reputation justifies Metalhawks reaction to some extent, that has got to hurt.

 

Some thoughts on Megs return and Starscream:

On reread, it seems a lot more like Starscream is desperate. He nearly has what he want. And I don´t think that is just power or validation. I think he really does want the war to end. And stay ended so Cybertron can be maybe put together again.

And suddenly there is Megs, fucking shit up again, making Starscream panicky and desperate.

And a desperate Starscream seems likely to make really monumentally bad decisions from what I´ve seen.



This almost looks like Starscream wanted to work with Metalhawk but now thinks Metalhawk is working against him. And with people mentioning he might have actual paranoia, he may well believe this even when Metalhawk comes to rescue him. Especially as Turmoil never lets Metalhawk explain why he did.

On top of that some of his narration makes it seem like he´s becoming disillusioned with how effective Metalhawks philosophy, (provided Metalhawk even practices what he preaches, which Starscream is doubting,) really is..
"Maybe we were foolish to try and change anything"
Maybe he thinks in order to fix anything he has to resort to the old methods.

Obviously, that doesn´t make murder right, but it´s a much more satisfactory explanation than. "Lol he did it for power/glory"

 

It should also be noted that I should be sleeping, so the above is likely riddled with typos and may or may not make a lick of sense.

 

Another thing I missed on my first read through: Shockwave and the projectorbot!

 

Do to an out of control metaphor in the skypechats, I have now decided a TF version of me would definitely be a jet.

 

Well that´s one way to do it Arcee....

 

Arcee is so unnecessarily hardcore. She's wonderful.

 

Arcee is the most hardcore character in this continuity and I love it. Like, hands down, more hardcore than GALVATRON.

 

Notice how Starscream is only ever honest and open with people who are either dead or unconscious and therefore can´t hear him?

Sorry I had to share the sadfeels. I also wanna hug him for this but that´s not new.
