Since we have a thread for least favorites... Anyway, for all I associate very heavily with Damara, she's actually my second-favorite. Aradia is my favorite, and a major inspiration to me. She's everything I want to be as a person--kind and friendly and brave and loving and a badass and so very alive. Her story arc is so important to me that I got a tattoo in her honor--here's the story behind that. I'm also extremely fond of Roxy--she's probably my favorite human, with Rose coming in second in that regard. As for ships, I have a ton, but Sollux<3Aradia is my OTP 5evr. I love how they just seem to keep finding each other, and how they're clearly close but still poke fun at each other (and in fact, their teasing seems FAR more like something born of closeness and trust and affection than it does something malicious). I love that ship, man. Love that great ship. SO HOW 'BOUT YOU GUYS
oh man, it's so hard to pick :( i honestly love everyone in homestuck, even the ones i'm supposed to hate. except doc scratch. there's not one thing i like about that guy. anyways. i could probably list a ton i like a whole lot, but if you want me to narrow down to Absolute Favorites, i'd have to say the midnight crew. i am such an absolute intermission fan, the style, the story, the mobsters, oh man. just a bunch of shitheads going at it for no good reason. absolutely amazing. especially Diamonds Droog. the asshole carries around an entire mausoleum (brawlsoleum, puns) filled with suits so he can be suave and fashionable at all times, like some sort of paradoxical practical and impractical mobius double reacharound and it's absolutely wonderful. i have a fave kid too, but i like droog more. it's just easier to talk about jane and others in regular conversation than it is droog, because he's obscurish and it's hard to explain why i like him so much. aesthetically, drawing vriska and nepeta is the most fun for me. and those ampora horns, oh man are they fun. they go swoopity swoooop.
Hard to pick. My top five though are...Kanaya, Porrim, Aranea, Mindfang, and the Dolorosa. Though I'm also growing very, very fond of the Handmaid as of late. Doc Scratch as well. Favorite ships...Porrim<3Aranea, Mindfang<3The Dolorosa, and Vriska<3Kanaya. I have a big thing for unhealthy relationships. Some of them being violently so. That or tragic like the new wonder that is The Handmaid<3The Dolorosa. What is happiness? I sure as fuck don't know.

I like Karkat too. Karkat sounds like my inner voice, complete with the creative swearing. Also Karkat reminds me of my best friend in a weird way.
I used to favor Vriska, cause she was bad in a way I'd never really seen before and there were a butt tonne of fics of her being an utterly facinating disaster of a girl, wrecking house and getting wrecked in return, and she just had this way of sticking in my throat, yunno? I liked seeing someone who i felt genuinely wanted to be good just up and failing to get there, again and again and again. She's just so stupid and so terrible and so young, and I want her to end up alone and far away from anyone she could ever hurt again and okay with that. Okay, i might still favor Vriska. Sue me. I thik I could really get into Peixes, but I've heard bad things about their fandom portrayals, so. The world may never know what fish lady feels lurk in the depths of my soul.

And rose frankly needs someone to kick her ass when shes being a self-pitying lump. Kanaya is the best girlfriend but theres only so much a heart can do.
I don't really have a character that's my favorite, I just have characters that are un-favorites, but uh. ... I shipped JohnDave before I even knew what Homestuck was, thanks to some fanart a friend showed me. JohnDave is why I started reading Homestuck. I am still a garbage JohnDaver, even with all my rarepairs that I adore. I like it every which way: ex-boyfriends, just bros, heterosexual life partners, pale nonsexual, palesexual, flushed, pitch, EVERYTHING GIVE IT ALL TO ME I WILL MAINLINE IT
I imagine Jade is also one of the few people who could seriously tussle with Nepeta and live to tell the tale. Rose<3<Vriska is also excellent because you can call it Black Light.
With both Vriska and Eridan available, how can I choose? As for ships, I like John/Roxy. Like, it was my first ship. Before I saw them interact, I didn't think I had the capability for shippy feelings.
Oh. Right. The other quadrants. For pale shit my favorite is Rose<>Porrim because I said so. If you need further proof as to the beauty of this concept imagine Star Trekstuck. Now imagine Rose as the ship psychologist and Porrim as the doctor. And they are pale girlfriends 5ever while Captain Aranea is a huge shitlord. Truly this is the most beautiful thing that ever was or will be. Aranea<>Porrim is also fun. With pitch. This one is hard. Probably Aranea<3<Porrim or Kanaya<3<Rose though. Or Rose<3<Karkat because one day I wrote Green Lanternstuck and made that ship a thing. And then I burned the fic. Which leaves us with the ashen quadrant. Which I haven't played with much because things are hard and also I just want to have my stupid pale porn, dammit. Indeed I have no idea what to put here so let's just put down Porrimc3<Aranea/Aranea. As this is clearly a good idea. You may have noticed a trend here and that trend is Aranea and Porrim are the two most important hamsteaks. Especially when they are making out/cockblocking.
Nepeta. Nepeta is like, one of my absolute favorite characters from anything ever, I absolutely adore her. Um, other big faves are Roxy, Rose, Jane, Dave, Karkat, Terezi, Aradia, and a bag of trash shaped like a fish. But mostly Nepeta. And also my own characterization of the Disciple, which I have never seen anywhere else but I am terribly fond of. My fave ship is probably DaveKat because I love their dynamic and everything. Neprezi is also way up there, and I am also a fan of Disciple<>Dualscar for...reasons. Old rp reasons.
Oh also, my all time favorite Homestuck ship: Karkat/Jade/Dave/Terezi in a big four way poly pile. :3
I LOVE Karkat, Rose, Terezi, Dave, Sollux, Tavros, John, Jade, Aradia... I think its impossible to pick a favorite out of these. As for ships, I love john/karkat/dave and John/Karkat, aradia/sollux, and dave/tavros. with a tiny bit of Weirdly Pale Sollux/Terezi, which is like. my Odd Rarepair
@Lissiel Red usually, although I have a couple aus (mostly bloodswaps) where they're pale or black. The only person I really ship black with Nepeta is Eridan, and even that is in a kinda quadrant shmeery way.
