Hi I love this game a lot, and also there's so much to see and I want to share it with you. Also if you want me to name a rock/plant/creature/planet/star system after you or one of your characters I can totes do that, and if someone else finds their way to that place they'll see whatever name I put in C:

Some cool pictures I've taken so far:

My starter planet, which I named Vassleheim after a city from Critical Role after I got into space.

And I started in a section of the universe with a race of Daft Punk-esque NB android things :D

I've been hearing dark things about the PC port, but I'm still maintaining hype for this game. So pretty!

I'm on the PC, and so far I haven't had any real issues. There's some texture clashing in places where biomes fuse together, and there's a weird film grain sometimes that gets me in the 'not sure if bug or feature' kind of mindset. I know people had issues immediately hopping into their preorder ship, because it has a hyperdrive and that throws off a starter quest chain, so I waited until I'd finished all that before upgrading.

Here's a hot planet I found with some things that highly resembled lil dragons flying around. My scanner wasn't powerful enough to reach them though. Tempted to name the planet 'Pern' because of them.

On a different, and extremely RED planet, I found this absolutely fucking adorable burrowing critter, which I fed and it gave me some rare minerals that I probably couldn't dig up without upsetting the sentinels.
    Which.
I never wanna upset them ever again ;n; tiny robo environmentalist friends.

That's promising to hear. I'm currently planning to make a new computer to run this thing (proper gaming PCs are stupid expensive, more often than not, and I was looking at upgrading soon anyway). Here's hoping that by the time I get round to computer-building, most of the more prominent problems have been patched.

@Snitchanon We get pretty bad stuttering on my partner's homemade gaming PC. Admittedly, it's a few years old at this point, but it's still pretty powerful and should be able to run the game better. A bit disappointing, given that a lot of the appeal is in the environments and exploring them. Still been having fun though.

I've been excited to play this, but I'm uncertain due to the issues I've heard about with the PC port - which, my PC is a "gaming laptop," but it's also several years old, so... who knows. I might just wait for my sister to (hopefully) get the PS4 edition for her birthday, and use that? Hm. In any case I'm excited.

Oh man, this game sounds fun - how much is it?

$60, at least for the PC; the PS4 version probably has a similar pricetag.

ETA: this is the Steam price, totally forgot it was also on GOG haha

If you get it via GOG, $45.79
Elsewhere, more expensive. I got it as a gift ;u; I recommend purchasing through either GOG or Humble. Humble gives you a Steam key and it's the same price as on Steam, but 10% goes to a charity of your choice.
