Question related to the main Pokemon games- do any of you guys do Nuzlocke challenges (or similar)? Would you care to hear about mine? (should I make a separate thread for it?)

 

Like a Nuzloke liveblog? I would totally be down for a thread for that. Shorter postmortems can probably just go here though.

 

so, I'm finally playing White? and all my grass pokemon are my presh murderous babies.
I got a whimsicott. this whimsicott has basically beat the shit out of everything that attacks it. wow fluffy lil cotton sheep you are Scary.
other babies include Dolly my poor often beat on musharna, the herdier who keeps fucking fainting, Squishy the servine who is not that squishy, Leonard the leavany who was such a pain in the ass to evolve (probs cause i initially caught him just to fight one gym), Majorie the purrloin and Sandy the sandile, who are basically just switched between, and my adorable joltik who i just caught.

 

@tickingnectarine I love nuzlocke challenges. I'm not good at following the proper rules, but I love playing with pokemon I never would have considered. Swalot and Ludicolo were part of my elite 4 team last run and I loved both those rascals.

(i ragequit my platinum run because too many bullshit crits)

When I make the nuzlocke thread, should I include trigger warnings for content? (I mean yes it's a video game but still, the Pokemon may "die")

Just a quick update, the Nuzlocke thread is going to be happening a bit later than I thought. I'm currently playing through Black version and it's going terrible, partly due to the different EXP system, and partly due to Lenora and a ranger's Herdier. I've lost 6 of my 7 Pokemon. My last one is Dark type and I have no way to capture any other pokemon before Burgh's bug gym.

 

anyone here played white and beat the elite four? if so, please adviseeeee

 

@emythos my advice is bring as many healing items as you can lol. But thats bc i brought two unevolved pokemon with me that needed fixed constantly. Here's the elite 4 rosters though, so you can plan based on this http://www.serebii.net/blackwhite/elitefour.shtml

I'm 100% behind the popular theory that the Aether Foundation are the Real Bad Guys, and Skull are far from the big problem.

I mean, let's be real. Science folks ~taking in Pokémon and giving them a home in Pokémon Paradise where they'll be sooooo well cared for~? And conducting...."research" on the side? I refuse to believe Type:Null is not a highly unethical science abomination... And even if we just go by character design, Faba is never gonna be a Good Guy. Look at his shady face. Team Skull are probably just chill dudes! Or, like, Team Aqua level goofball 'bad guys'. I would not be surprised in the least.

And then there's the jellyfish-lookin' Ultra Beast, and I'm compelled by the idea that Lillie has something to do with/is it. It wouldn't be surprising if she was related to Lusamine and Gladion, but if so what in the heck is this family, why is everyone on different teams, what is their story........

 

I need to know what everyone playing Go has chosen as their buddy Pokemon! I am walking around with a Dratini at the moment.
