I'm gonna use the fact that I didn't post as Sarnai for several posts, and have her trying to grab Alabaster's stuff too. That "What are we waiting for" bit just moved somebody up in the ranks of 'favorite party member.'

Rolling a d20 to find the stuff because it is time sensitive (and I love rolling things).... rolled 15, would that be more perception or investigate...? It makes the huge difference between a result of 16 or 17. :p

I'd say this would be Perception, and a 16 is high enough to get the stuff together after one or two more people post IC (read: within a minute of the hummingbird showing up)

I adore Merrill- she is my fave and I will do anything I can to protect her and I have never once managed to not do a romance w her if that cutscene triggers. I've thrown away days' worth of work on rivalmances w both Anders and Fenris multiple times (yes, I do know how to prevent that cutscene from triggering, but why would I want to?)

    sarnai's head

eta but for real, after this it's go time. she did the polite/responsible thing of offering food, she did the selfish thing of grabbing the pack to help alabaster keep wanting to be in there, and there's no more reasons for delay. time to explore 8D

Origins gave me such a headache with the gameplay style, I struggle with it. And ye gods I do not want to deal with Anders and Fenris. I'll just keep absorbing DA stuff through cultural osmosis.

cultural osmosis is the reason I know anything about Merrill tbh

and I'm going to wait for eP and Wiwaxia to post before responding as Chanterelle, so that outside-the-painting doesn't get implausibly far ahead of inside-the-painting

I'm running a sburb game, i haven't had two characters at the same point in the timeline for more than a session since game start and time travel hasn't even been introduced yet.

yeah, honestly. like, I don't think you could have any kind of SBURB game without stupid amounts of timeline asynchrony. that's kind of the whole deal. but still. the poor narrative D:

Origins is hard af skip it and play Inquisition. or just watch let's plays on youtube. or just look up "Merrill DA2" and bask in the glow of the cutest cutie to ever cute

edit: I'm gonna wait to respond in-game until someone stops Liron's questions bc that train of thought physically cannot stop itself

One of my favorite things about this so far is that none of our characters have questioned the significance of the name The False Chanterelle. We've got the academic squeeing, the adventure-seeking excitement, and the lone voice of "oh my god you guys think before you touch things" distress... But no suspicious paranoid people. :')

The people who aren't drooling over the magical and historical implications are drooling over the naked lady, basically.

yes, exactly. Lyriae likes to think she is a stone-cold paranoid badass, but she is not always one, because she also tends to think with her metaphorical dick. ah, character flaws.

also I am going back to school tomorrow, so consider this a disclaimer that I may be able to post less. I'm not gonna go silent for weeks at a time, but I'm also less likely to be around for exciting bursts of action.
