There's no consistent post format for this thing, so people are probably just confused.

Brackets and dashes seem to be less common than asterisks for denoting action/narration.

 

I've yet to see anyone else using square brackets for actions, so sorry if me and my five robots have made it look like they're the norm around here :P

 

I also use square brackets on Burlesque and Triage, because they fit the feel of the characters better, but I use astericks on Marcus and Swifty, because I'm an inconsistent asshole.

 

I swap around within my characters because I'm an inconsistent asshole :) Asterisks are my default, but I'll find myself shifting to match other characters present, it's like picking up accents.

I'll try really hard to follow any indicators you're giving for @Julian Bashir, @cantankerousAquarius! I do have one character that probably can read those surface thoughts, but he's too polite to respond to them if he picks them up despite shielding.

Also, paging the player of @Marcus Hampton (sorry I don't remember who that is) - Sev will need to hold skin to skin contact for a minute or two while he focuses. He's really just trying to make Marcus' natural blood replacement mechanism speed up for a bit, and will be borrowing the energy primarily from himself (Sev) to do so. Up to you how you want this to work out ^.^

(The only one of my character with consistant formatting is Simon. Because he is a dick and insists on the italics narrative and actually using quotation marks for his words.)
That said I flip flop between dashes, asterisks and brackets bc I too am an inconsistent asshole. :P

I continue to not have the internal barometer that tells me when my character is getting too out of line for the rave, so: please, please give a shout out if anyone I RP (coughs, @superciliousUndertow and @vitrifiedVadelect get significant looks) is making you uncomfortable.

My character specialty might be "vicious asshole," but I'm an overall chill person.

 

I default to [actions] due to DWRP, though I've occasionally used (parentheses) and *asterisks* for a few characters, with ((double parentheses for ooc)). I'm pretty sure I always frame the actions in punctuation, to make it clearly not the *Undertale character/narration saying something.

 

I think SU is hilarious personally. Ford doesn't, but he's a more sensitive soul than I.

 

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned who plays @Seagull but they make me giggle.

 

Oh my god. You are the seagull? I LOVE the seagull. So much. Tori doesn't though, the dancing one. He hates that seagull almost as much as he hates canon Tori and he hates canon Tori as much as he hates Caldane. Damn that seagull. DAMN HIM.
