I hate to keep repeating myself, but I find this all fascinating. I do mostly medical research, but I'm honestly happy learning new science, no matter the field. Iridium has been teaching me about organic biology, but I don't think I'm far enough along yet to understand how different tastes are processed between species, sadly. Has anyone ever done a study - a comparative brain scan, perhaps - comparing your species' taste processing to humans'? I'd love to get my hands on that paper.

Lots of organic brainscans and neocortex scans, but there seems to be some sort of overlap on the olfactory front from which we're extrapolating, and which we're using to home in on the stuff we want to compare.

And then there's the question whether our species is even capable of perceive taste like the organics do.

Ah! I can try to help! My Neocybex is good for conversation but I'm not quite sure if I can explain all the terms seeing as it's both of our second languages, But! I am sure between the two of us and some of the other people in the delegation we could ask for help we can figure it all out!
