The 'colder' your blood is, the longer you live, and the tougher and stronger you are. Tyrians and fuschias live even longer than purples. Rust bloods live shortest of all. I'm indigo, so I'll live a long time, but my moirail Erzuly, she's fuschia, so she's gonna out live me. Indigos like me, we're tough as nails, but also, unstable as fuck."

You should try some of the oceans on other planets, in a mostly peaceful way. I imagine they'd have all sort of life that you've never seen before.

What an odd way to structure society. Is there a physiological reason behind it, or is it more a matter of caste and the ways the castes are provided for? I know a fair few mechs who would claim that miner builds were just less durable (despite the inherent stupidity in that statement) when the reality was that the infrastructure underpinning our society was sabotaging them from the get go.

Arha Ford, Ma'Valiska, I know I've mentioned this before, boat sometimes you just need to witness it -- between Chroma, Loreli, Sunshine, and me, you got stuck with the nicer end of the range of personalities. Comes with the isolation, probably.

I don't want Chroma to trust large, nosy strangers either, but we've been seeing you around for a while, Silverburst, and you seem very genuine."

"So it would seem, which means we're going to have some social problems even after we take care of the military problem, but..." He sighs. "Ad astra per aspera. And also, shit happens."

Ford blinks. "...what?"

 

Moraga laughs, a loud, raucous noise. "I know your old boyfriend," she says with a grin, and then, very quickly, when she sees Ford pale: "Na, the human one."

Ford grins. "Indeed so."

"I'm glad you qualified that." Ford laughs, shaking his head. "I would not have been happy to hear that the other one was back in the Falls."
