My laptop fell off the desk and snapped the sd card i had plugged into it. The sd card full of my only record of TWO YEARS worth of pictures and videos. Every picture, every video, and all of my homework for 2014 and 2015 are gone forever, because my chair pulled my power cord

I saw a picture of earth from the moon and got overwhelmed by how far we've come as a species

 

it just suddenly hit me how wonderful this place is. I can bow out of a conversation because brainbugs and not have to come up with a convincing excuse, "my gender is ????" just gets accepted, I can nerd out about random obscure and/or "unsuitable" interests without bothering people and even maybe find people who are also interested in them

I hit 32 years old, I'm not on HRT/testosterone yet... now all of a sudden I'm crying at everything.

It's not that I never cried before. Just. Not so easily, not so often, and definitely not so commonly around other people unless I know them pretty well.

Now I'm just starting to watch the anime Fairy Tale and OH MY GODS MY FEELS. IT HITS ME RIGHT IN MY FEELS. And I cry and it is good.

Anyway, I'm not complaining, just weirded out a bit. I'm sure I'll get used to it. Maybe. (Because, seriously, what's going to happen when I finally do get on hormones?)

I just did the 'find your patronus' quiz on Pottermore. It asks for you to think of your happiest memory. Mine was remembering a phone call when I was 9, from my father. I was at my best friend's house and my mother was in labour. My father called to tell me, 'You have a little sister. Her name is [sister's name]'. I did the whole quiz holding that memory in my mind and cried the whole way through.

a few days ago i cried because my friend was helping me realize and work through the incredibly unhealthy attitude i have towards myself. they knew what to say because they had gone through the same thing, and i felt overwhelmed and .....blessed, i guess? (not a word i use ever) to have such an amazing person in my life

 

Today was shit and I can't even enjoy being home and away from it all because one of the downstairs apartments is being painted/varnished and it stinks and I'm so impotently angry
