For your consideration, I submit: Springer/First Aid, with First Aid being all shy and Doing His Best to act cool, but oh my god, Springer! And me! Me and Springer! And Springer being super duper hella charmed, because he's had so long with the Wreckers to get jaded and cynical, and this is just the cutest thing, and being all sweet-teasing, while First Aid blushes so hard he's afraid he's going to overheat.
I want to read power imbalance Wing/Drift. Anyone have any recs? I mean, iirc, Wing literally keeps Drift prisoner in the New Crystal City in a (successful) attempt to deradicalize him. Every time Drift needs heavy repairs, he ends up looking more and more like Wing, initially (in the New Crystal City) not his choice but after that it seems to be something he's doing on purpose. On the other hand, Drift is... I don't want to say more experienced than Wing, but they've got 4 million years of very different experience, with Wing being isolated in the New Crystal City and growing increasingly frustrated at the stagnation and Drift, uh, well there was that whole Deadlock thing.
Christ I just got on a meta level why Deadlock is called Deadlock. A deadlock is a situation where no further advancement is possible, Deadlock was an identity Drift adopted that eventually got him into a mental deadlock where the only thing improving was how many people he was slaughtering, and a good chunk of them weren't even Autobots.

yeah and there's precedent for energon sometimes being depicted as bright glowy blue instead of bright glowy pink. eta: like in other TF continuities.
I just realized that Cyclonus was around during the First Civil War since he used to pray in the shadows of the Metrotitans before they all left, and that makes him old. At least 10 million years old. Which is a little weird, because he wasn't depicted as being Galvatron's lackey at the time, at least not according to Alpha Trion. Which means either a): he only became Galvatron's bodyguard after the Civil War or b): Alpha Trion's memory fucked up again. Anyway, I came across this because I had a sudden thought that maybe the Guiding Hand mythos was based on the Thirteen Primes from before the Civil War, since in the non-Aligned continuities Solomus and Epistemus were of the Thirteen Primes, but that doesn't work if Cyclonus grew up with the Guiding Hand mythos.
