my friends all like to joke that the fastest/easiest way to get me to watch literally anything is to just halfway imply that there are lesbians in it, eventually, even for a second and i am there

 

Lesbians are pretty great. Especially badass ones.

 

I mean I'll be honest, 'lesbians' is the reason why I got into SU. 'Canon gay' is basically the fastest way to get me into anything.

 

@PRelations honestly, same. people have mentioned it before, but- i'm so use to just hoping for some kinda subtext, or even subsubtext that if you squint could maybe be gay in shows, and watching steven universe is so refreshing!! it's just the text, i don't even have to read into anything. it's there, and it is gay, and i love it.
