Yeah, choice was fun, but pichu was useful, at least for me- and the Latis were awesome!

I'm really looking forward to the next mystery dungeon game, I have pretty high hopes for it already- hopefully it'll be a little more serious like Sky was. And maybe even Z(when that eventually happens because I'm sure it will lol) will be somewhat serious too. Not really expecting much of that one though.

This might sound stupid but I am playing as a boy on my pokemon Y game and I realized that "Oh hey, I could totally headcanon my guy pokemon character as ftm. That is legit something I can do." since when I was a kid (before you could even play as a girl) I just pretended that my "boy" character was just a really convincing cross dresser. Then it warmed my little heart to think about that and the implication that in my little version of the pokemon world being trans/gendrqueer was not a big deal. (not that there isn't already a canon mtf trainer in the pokemon games)

Nah that's not stupid, it's cool! :D plus as far as we've seen crossdressing has never been questioned in the show either: half the time James and Jessie cross dressed when they were wearing disguises, and as far as I remember it was just never brought up, it was just a thing that they did(and heck maybe still do, but I don't watch the show anymore).

Hmmm... I don't know either, since I stopped watching the anime years and years ago. IIRC the crossdessing jokes, and other stuff that might make it unpalatable for an international audience was eventually toned down until non-existence. (edit: looked it up, they apparently stopped the cross dressing gag sometime around 2004. Booooo.)

But on the bright side we will always have this:

Boooooooo. And that was right around when I think stopped watching it, go figure. I know there was one episode that was not allowed because James had fake boobs and was wearing a bikini, but I am sort of inclined to be hopeful and say that was more of a near nudity issue than a crossdressing one. Dunno though. And yes omg moltres James XD I remember that! Unfortunately my internet sucks balls though, so I can't watch the video you posted, I can just see the preview image vnv

BPD anon Here I sit, broken hearted

It was most likely a nudity/sexual content ban because James grabs his boobs and bounces them while taunting Misty that his are bigger than hers.

Lol that's what I thought. I saw the clip but that was a couple years ago, so I wasn't sure.

I just evolved my Skiddo into a Gogoat and I don't know why I was under the impression that I would be able to ride my gogoat around but I am booty bothered that I can't ride my Gogoat as opposed to using a bike/roller skates/running shoes

That should totally be a thing! >:c I never trained one so I didn't know you couldn't, but thought you should be able to since there's that part in the game where you do ride one. Well... Maybe next game.

yeah I think I got that impression because there is that Skiddo ranch and also a service in Lumiose where you can ride a skiddo/gogoat around and in the trailer it shows a clip of you ridding a skiddo (probably a clip from the ranch?)

also I got the lapras and lucario and now I can't decide if I want to keep my 3 pokemon grass/fire/water team (Delphox, Gogoat, and Blastoise) or if I should replace my Blastoise with Lapras and add Lucario so I have a 4 pokemon team.

    Pros:
    - I like Lapras more than blastoise, I pretty much only picked squirtle so I had a water type and could play games in Amie
    - Still have a mega pokemon if I add Lucario
-it's balanced gender wise (2 girls and 2 boys instead of 2 boys and a girl)
-cute little lapras sprite when using surf
-cute little story reasons (Lucario chose me! Lapras wants to see the world!!)

    Cons:
-no longer a trio I can take care of all at once in amie
-balance is thrown off element wise
-I have grown slightly attached to my blastoise despite being one of my least fav starters

    THIS IS CLEARLY A CRISIS.

Hmmmm I would go for Lapras, because I really love them and I tend to go for having every dual type I can get my hands on lol, but I understand getting attached. I recently played through black2 with all Pokemon I didn't really like, and now I love them all, especially magnezone and scolipede XD

Oh my god a Pokemon thread!

Has everyone discussed their favourite types in-general yet? I have a huge fondness for ghost types.

Fire and Dark are my two long-time favorite types, although Fairy is giving them a run for their money.
(whyyyy are there no Fire/Fairy or Dark/Fairy pokemon yet? t_t)

I hold the opinion that the vulpix line should have been re-classed Fire/Fairy since the introduction of fennekin. It just made sense to me, what with them being based on kitsune, and all. And who even needs two different fire-type foxes?

I guess we can still hold out hope for Mega Ninetales.

I love fairy types so, so much. They are probably my favorite type. Before that I think my favorite type was Normal. Not for battle or anything I just liked a lot of normal typpe pokemon. Eevee, spinda, persian, furret... the list goes on. Their move list can be pretty versatile too since a lot of them learn a wide variety of TM moves.

I for one was really mad that Skitty/Delcatty were not reclassified as fairy types. We have enough normal type cat pokemon, it fits the fairy type aesthetic, and it's stats are the lowest of the cat pokemon. It's needs something to stand out! I like it's design darn it!

Fairy types are awesome :o the choice on which were and weren't fairy types though seems pretty weird though: like you guys said, vulpix and skitty should totally be fairy types!

I don't think I really have a favorite type, though as far as battling, steel is fucking awesome. But my favorite Pokemon ever has got to be sneasel <3 I don't even know why, I just really love them.

I don't like the vast majority of Hoenn pokemon (I know a lot of people love gen 3 but I just... never got into it) but I love Breloom and Wishcash

Breloom is awesome! I really like up through gen 4- unova was probably my least favorite as far as Pokemon designs go.
