Specific coding required to disable emotion chip must be manually engaged, with some degree of override. While there is a purpose to it, engaging it will always be a method of harm. It can be used as a method of care as well, but it is a method of harm first and foremost, much like removing a limb.

Progressive manual reengagement of code will be required as time goes on. Also can be implied that deliberately locking oneself away from happiness and love can qualify as self-harm.

"And...that would be the evil ex in question." Ford rolls his eyes. "Don't summon him here, my love!"
