Probably. The sound doesn't come from it really, just around it. Some students say it's telepathic and talks straight into your mind, which it neither confirms or denies. It echos properly, but if it wants to be heard it project clear across the cafeteria during mealtime without sounding like it's raising its voice. In my head a soft voice, the kind older folk get if they don't get raspy, but not a whisper, even-toned and as gender-indeterminate as its appearance.

is there a conflict? backgroundy or for the characters to deal with. the voldemort crisis is over, and i get the impression that was mostly a european thing anyhow, but perhaps there are aftershocks, or maybe there's some other kind of wickedness brewing. not saying it needs to be plot-driven -- certanly not volunteering to drive the plot bus, i have been dropping plot balls in the boat trolls rp and should not take on that kind of responsibility elsewhere -- but it might be fun if there was something like that lurking on the edges of folks' awareness.
I think we should be good. Unless someone wants to remind me ages and grades for US people. I have been in college for long enough that I have forgotten, and thus do not remember if anyone is a first year or ????? (Although I feel like we could possibly open in the bus, or our own personal lives getting the letter or.....yeah ok, it's up to each of us. back off from the micromanagement, bats. right.)
Conflict is good! Uh, we could do the typical thing of, since SCA is on some kind of magical rip between space-magic-time (the space magic time continuum), the rip is getting wider... #(and people have been dreaming of a smiling god)
