Not my pets, but we went to a very nice ranch up in the mountains in Cyprus, who rescue abused equines and care for them, including giving them gentle work if and when they can take it. Ramone was my noble steed, who after his racing career was over was found tied up by the side of the road with no food and water (in summer).

When I met him he was the most beautiful horse I've ever ridden (certainly the only thoroughbred) and gentle as a lamb. He knew exactly what to do and listened well to my inexperienced ass and tolerated my fuck-ups with a kind of amused flick of an ear.

Blackie was the boss-horse of that particular herd and while he was some three or four hands shorter than Messere Hotblood, he had been found as an older unclipped stallion suffering from a foot-hobble made of wire that had cut through his foreleg to the bone. Our guide told us it had taken them almost two months for him to settle down enough that they could look after the wound, and it's still left a terrible scar. He was carrying my mum, who is a bundle of sticks and probably didn't weigh much more than the saddle XD

And finally, Nemo, who carried our guide and was the sweetest little pony you ever met, was white-faced and blue eyed and therfore considered very unlucky and like as not to be vicious by his owners, and thus treated according :/ Georgia (our guide) said he was terrified of everything and lashing out when they got him, but less than a week and he was snuffling treats out of everyone's hands and leaning on them for scritches ^_^ He followed her around like a dog, and several times I saw her reading or checking her phone while on horseback, that was how much trust had been built between them.

Now that I'm on my computer and slightly more coherent.

Juno is about two years old and a rehabilitated feral. The local spay/neuter place has been trying to adopt her out for a few months now, but as she's an adult for adoption and not a very pushy or aggressive cat (doesn't stand out much/won't just walk up to you usually), they didn't have any luck until she fell asleep on my girlfriend a few days ago. Now she is ours.

She was very cuddly in the shelter but now that she's in a new place she's hiding under my bed for a bit. Perfectly acceptable. The house is big and scary and has like three people, three ferret. Too many. This is fine though because she will soon discover that on the soft place above her new cave, I lie down all night and it's very warm and comfortable and she's very welcome.

 

I have a feathery floof on a stick my cat goes mad for, but she knows when she's being filmed and that's why I can never get decent footage of her!! Little diva!!

 

Here is a video of my roommate's cat doing the thing where she jumps up on her back legs before headbutting you to get your attention. It's adorable and from the side she looks like a horse when she does it.
