Yeah, I was more entertained than I thought I would be, but the ALL FIGHTING, NO TALKING is a little exhausting. And after such an extensive alien occupation a few short years ago, it's kind of lame that this super elite force is doing the 'oh noes, our plain, vanilla guns do nothing, how could we have seen this coming???' dance. I did enjoy the humans more than I thought I would, but I wouldn't say I'm INVESTED. I just wish the Joes had broken out since of the anti-cybertronian tech we've SEEN humans developing. Not just phase one stuff either, we saw the fancy gun thing that took out Aileron's moirail, and there has to be more firepower like that lying alone.

Now, the Rom thing! I actually... really dig this update. I didn't care that much for the original (consumed secondhand, not directly), because I just really don't enjoy eighties cheese, and the soap opera love triangle and junk was boring. And Rom's alien race was pretty much just Fancy Humans In Space.

But i read the first Rom Revolution issue too, and the dire wraiths are looking COOL, and I like Rom's human friend and her plot device injury. The technological shenanigans are a good way to wriggle around how much of an advantage his tech is over them, and the more overt human-wraith meshing means that the whole 'this could be solved with TALKING' annoyance is much less of a problem for me. The wraith idea goes with GI Joe... WAY better than I expected. I actually dig that. And pulling in the Ore-13 issue is actually a pretty brilliant way to fold the cybertronians into the mix.

So yeah, I'm not that emotionally invested yet, and I don't care enough to read extraneous Rom or GI Joe material, but I enjoyed that.

I picked up watching Transformers: Prime again and I ended up watching this one scene over and over and then rewriting it because apparently having someone rummage around in your vitals with their incorporeal hand pings me a bit?
So here. Spoilers for season two, and if you don't like the idea of being violated by an incoporeal hand maybe give it a miss.

Wait, how many cities are there on Cybertron? Unless things have really changed, there's Iacon and...? Have they really rebuilt that much in whatever timeframe it's been since Dark Cybertron?
Is it really going to take all the way until daybreak for an army of Titans to raze the livable parts of Cybertron to the ground?

I switched my bg from a high res image of Windblade to this one of KO and I gotta say, I'm really enjoying booting my computer up these days. (The Windblade one had too much white space so it blinded me without fail every time.)

Well, the last time we saw everyone they were really close to a planet-destroying bomb going off, and the blue overtone to the cover kind of reminds me of the way the dead universe has been drawn.

Or it could just mean everyone thinks that they're dead? I hope?

it would be fitting, a story named after the festival remembering the dead, that focuses around a group of people who are thought to be dead... especially with all the people rescued by censere who were officially mia & presumably presumed dead

...They're 'dead'...and Prowl is supposedly dead...my wild mass guessing theory that Prowl winds up with the Lost Light crew is revived by these things

The only problem I have with that is that it was the case all the way through season one? Everyone on Cybertron thought the Lost Light had exploded on takeoff and there was no contact until after the fight with Tyrest. I think it's unlikely the same storyline would be used twice.

That would be beautifully, delightfully awkward. They'd need to install a cliff just so people can shove Prowl off it.

Well, I mean, if MEGATRON can be rehabilitated, Prowl isn't hopeless.
