Huh! Interesting! I can't think of any percolated ingestibles off the top of my head, I go more in for infusions, but-- something liiiike this? [Another moment of focus, and Whisper offers Mercy a gently-steaming mug of... something that looks like coffee, but smells distinctly of motor oil. Best of both worlds?]

Depends on the bird! Most of 'em are organic but megafauna totally exist!! And that's not including, y'know, birdformers. Who may or may not be as adorable as organic birds, depending on the individual.

"Just a moment," she says, and pulls a device out of a pocket. She attaches a probe to it and dips it momentarily in the liquid.

After a few moments it beeps and she scrolls through the results. And then takes a sip.

"It said it won't kill me but might taste unpleasant to humans, and I agree with its analysis. But it has caffeine in the acceptable range."

She downs the whole thing, trying not to taste it. And then grabs a day-old donut that Ana pushed at her and drowns that taste in greasy sugar.

 

[He shrugs and flicks his wings. "Not deadly" is pretty good for a first try!]

Someone who's had the actual stuff could probably make it better than I did! ...come to think of it, you could probably make it yourself once you figure out how! This place is pretty cool like that!

...um. 'scuse the non sequitur, but you're from the same universe as Reaper, right? Could you explain what an omnic is beyond "evil robot", and why people keep thinking we're them? Because, like. Okay, I'm a robot, I mostly just want to paint people and help them feel better for a little and maybe kiss my trine some, and I... don't think that's evil?

...so they're evil because they started a war? That... I suppose I can understand that, even if I... don't quite believe that every single member of a species could be inherently evil.
