tho it probably did not help that as soon as the thingy asked me to think of my happiest memory i immediately forgot any specific instance of happiness, yikes @ me. i would probably not do well against a dementor

 

It took a bit for me to find it. Just kind of blanked at first and thought of several things until I landed on YES BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT ENGULFING ME. YES THAT.

it would be interesting to see pottermore's analysis of what each animal indicates. because 'white stallion' is super far removed from anything i associate with me but my interpretation of what it means could be compeltley off base v. what pottermore intended

Dapple grey stallion??????? I'm not actually unsatisfied with that result I'm just so confused at how we're supposed to know the colour of a patronus when they're made of light.

I got a dolphin, and I'm annoyed as hell about it :/ I hate being in the ocean, and dolphins are dicks.
I might make another account just for the purpose of taking the test again.
*ETA* Did just that, without background distractions, got a Lynx. That's much more Me, and I got a bit emotional at the thought.
Also I'm a Hufflepuff! This does not really surprise me, although if asked before taking the test I would guess at Ravenclaw.

huh, these are all weird.
it's like, the same sort of random that one northern lights "what is your daemon" quiz was.

 

i got wildcat which isn't what i was expecting but i'll take it.

 

Maybe it IS random... someone take it twice, answer the same ways both times, and report back?

 

"the questions are timed, go by instinct" = don't think too hard about your answers so you can't tell if you answered the exact same way twice (on a separate account, obv) and got different results?

maybe that's too tinfoil hat, though.

Yeah. He is called the Bradán Feasa and he lived/s in Connla's Well. Or possibly the Boann which was born from the well. He ate nine special hazelnuts that fell into the Well of Knowledge and thus gained all the knowledge and wisdom there was to be had in the world. He was but a fish though and people tried for years to catch him. One day though he was finally caught by a poet who gave him to Fionn mac Cumhaill. However when Fionn cooked the salmon he burnt his thumb. After sticking it in his mouth to sooth it he found that he indeed had all the knowledge and wisdom in the world. But only when he bit or sucked on his thumb. The salmon meanwhile may or may not still be alive. Stories aren't clear about that. Salmon in general are hot shit though. Fish in sacred wells are very important fish and the bestest sorts you can find in a well are salmon. THEY ARE THE MOST FAIRY OF FAIRY FISH.

 

i tried taking the test again and and the questions seem to be randomised, it didn't start out on the same one. first one asked sun/rain/wind, second one started me on i think... actually i cant remember at all? but i know i blanked and waited too long and the question timed out but i know it wasn't the same. i think it's either incredibly sophisticated in confusing ways or it's totally random. my other result was grass snake which? gives me the same ????? feeling as the other one. also grass snakes and horses i feel are not? similar idk
