Does anyone else have some favourite words (in any language) to say? I mean not necessarily words that mean nice things or good things, but just taste good on your tongue and are fun to say. I like 'deliquesce' (to dissolve/decay into a liquid form) and 'recalcitrant'. The last one I try to fit into conversation as much as I can, because it's such a pleasant mouth-and-tongue shape for me. I also like 'bakero' (idiot/fool) in japanese, because I've been indulging my inner weeb by finishing the Naruto anime lately and Killer Bee's "Bakero, konero!" is so fun to roll off my tongue :P (I like a lot of japanese words, actually - I really need to learn at least hiragana so I can do them more justice XD)
I am very fond of the sounds of "Wotan," which is awkward because I believe saying a name three times is a way to ping for attention...
Vitriolic and visceral are my favorites right now. Honorable mention goes to allophone, both for being a delightfully obscure word and for having a nice mouth shape.
sylph or in portuguese sÃlfide the word MILK in english is also good I also love swear words in either language, they tend to have bold sounds that add their own rhythym to a sentence and they carry a lot of dramatic weight... that's why I use them so much, haha
+1 for smol, better than small or smal catte is good For words that arent weird pronunciations of other words, "thrice"
@Ipuntya ephemeral is also one of my favorite words! *ephemeral hi-five* other faves: -brackish -phantasmagoria -exsanguinate (just dang fun to say, the way your tongue rolls around your mouth)
oh! and how could i forget! hyrax! the entire reason i chose it as a 'nym is because i think it's such a cool looking word, it's got a y and an x and vaguely looks like the name you'd make up for a dark elf OC. and yet it's applied to a fat little fuzzy mammal with goofy little fangs. how adorable is that.
Coffee is such a nice, comfortable word. It feels like something i wanna say over and over, even though short o sounds are usually a little too blue for me.
