the creepiest thing in toy shelves is fucking baby dolls, not ouiji boards anyone remeber bratz babies? those were terrifying
Speaking of baby dolls, one of the previews I saw today was for Annabelle 2? And I was like, "wait, there was an Annabelle 1?" because I don't have cable so I miss out on previews. Anyway long story short I'm gonna watch Annabelle tonight because I'm not joking when I say ancient porcelain dolls give me the jeeblies. My mom and grandma decided, for some reason, to start getting me dolls for my birthday and christmas and sometimes easter, every year, for YEARS. I had an entire bookshelf of the fuckers, staring at me with their hollow painted eyes every time I went to sleep. One morning I woke up and literally half of them had turned their heads over the night to FACE ME. Clearly it was my brother fucking with me, but ever since, man. EVER SINCE.
Has anyone who watches car boys seen the newest vid nick and griffin put out? I really love this ongoing creepypasta thats being created with busto Edit: this vid
Lovecraft's pretty choice (even though he was a massive fucking racist) Through the Woods Also a massive anthology of short weird fiction and surreal horror stuff called "The New Weird" 10/10 Also LEG
so they posted a marble-hornets-esque thing about how the newest video is causing hardware problems for people who watch it, etc. etc. and people are.. taking it seriously.. and seriously arguing in reblogs of nick's tumblr post that obviously you can't get malware from just watching a YouTube video.... /)._.(\
Rewatched Crimson Peak today. It's still a ridiculous mess of a not-quite-horror-movie, but it sure is fun to watch on a rainy day with a cup of non-poisonous tea and a friend as snarky as yourself.
Back in high school, a had this buddy, Tomm (with two 'm's). One October he made a scarecrow to sit beside the door, wearing a bunch of his clothes. Tomm was over six feet tall and built like James Gandolfini, so this was a pretty big scarecrow. The head was a mask he'd used a few years before, some kind of scary pumpkin face or something? The neighborhood kids often told him it creeped them out, and he told them it was nothing to worry about, even showed them how he'd stuffed it with bags of leaves he'd raked from the yard. Just decoration. He was good with kids. That Halloween his mom set a bowl of candy on the porch with a "take one" sign, as she usually did. Tomm, quite naturally, emptied out the scarecrow and put on the clothes and mask and sat for hours in its exact position and pose, waiting for the last child in each group to reach for a candy bar - and grabbing that child's wrist.
Holy shit, showing the kids its just stuffed with leaves was a BRILLIANT CHOICE. I did something similar when I was in middle school. I had a friend named Julia who was very petite and skinny. Our house had a little alcove before the front door, walls and roof and everything, so I decided to make it a witch's den or whatever. Got my dad to get me some dry ice to put in this big cauldron where in I also put the bowl of candy, had Julia dress up like a doll and then covered her with all my other dolls -- again, I had a BUNCH of creepy dolls. So I'm sitting before the cauldron, reaching inside to get the candy to give to kids, and then they turn to leave and Julia HOPS UP and they scream and run away. Even the parents jumped, it was great. Unfortunately, one kid decided to fight instead of flight and straight up clocked her upside the head with his flashlight. She had to go home after that. I don't think her parents ever forgave me. >_>
I decided to see if there was a site dedicated to saying if a movie has jumpscares similar to that one that tells you if the dog dies or not, and there was! The list is by no means comprehensive, but for those ( like me) who cant handle sudden movements or noises most of the time here it is: http://wheresthejump.com
Pregnancy terrifies me too. It's why I'll never watch Slither. That one scene with the woman in the barn is just so ekfhdifh. I know it's supposed to be horror comedy, but I can't stand it. I'm starting to think I have a pregnancy phobia or something.
Has anyone played the game Anatomy? You can find it here: https://kittyhorrorshow.itch.io/anatomy And if you don't want to play it yourself you can watch a lets play here: It's so good guys, soooo good. I look forward to the shitstorm of scariness every year now, it's my favorite thing. Any recommendations for lets players that do scary games? I watch thebowlingotter show, and yogscast Kim/ Hannah's fright night stuff. I tried markiplier, but he's too shouty for me.
