okay question which will be the deciding factor of whether i jump ship on this server: on a non-pvp server, if both horde and alliance players are attacking a boss for a world quest, do they take friendly fire damage? or can you only damage another player if you're flagged for pvp?
@applechime Friendly fire aoe damage used to be a thing if someone had flagged themselves. This was mostly used to trick people into flagging so they could be killed. But! It now seems that you can't even attack a pvp flagged player if you haven't flagged yourself. Cross faction boss killing has never been easier.

I HAVE FOUND THE PLACE WHERE DISC RULES SUPREME It is not dungeons, nay. Nor it is raid. But PvP oh! How I fucking dominate in PvP. "Ah, a priest healer," says the rogue, druid, hunter combo, "we shall assail them, that they might fall before our might and panic heal themselves! Yea, and then when their paladin protector has died because of those panic heals, they will be in the tricky spot! Hoho, what a good thing it is that the priest healer cannot do damage and healing at the same time!" DPS TO HEAL, FUCKERS. (Really enjoying how they've structured PvP talents and honor though. Battlegrounds are fun again!)
i've heard supposedly that disc is actually really good in the high + mythics and in raiding but.. i really don't like being in groups with a disc healer as dps. it feels like i just stay at 50% health at most the entire dungeon run and there's a lot of 'oh shit' moments where i end up healing myself or other people if i'm on a hybrid.
YOOOOOOO Check out that choice world buff! 50% increased rep gains for world quests! Getting revered with each faction in this expansion will be required for the pathfinding achievement which will, hopefully, grant us flying in a later patch.
Yeah I was reading up on some of the meta to optimize my PvP talent layout, and it looks like consensus is you can do some pretty good heals + dps in mythic and that helps with burning things down but... the rotation's kinda fucky, and there's pretty much no way to keep people properly topped off without burning so much mana you eat it near the end there. It's also more reliant on knowing the fights and having tanks and DPS that can do it perfect, but at that point, you might as well grab that golden goose because that's not gonna happen. Proactive disc vs reactive holy. (Which is pretty consistent with how disc has been wrt to absorbs and everything, it's just with the way healing has been tweaked and absorbs removed, it's a lot more evident when you fuck up.) Also no AoE heals is shitty. I'd stick to holy for dungeons/raids myself, but I'm also one of those people who really hates to end a fight with everyone low, because that means that I (or someone who won't move out of the fire) is fucking up, and it's something that needs to be fixed. With disc it just sort of... seems to be a quality of the class?
man i don't even like PVP but i so need the Shado-Pan Legacy appearance for my punchins. *grind grind* sure would be nice if i could get the occasional mark of honor instead of like... 40 gold or 100 order resources from these wins.

I actually called a pvp-rp server my home for a while. When you have a guild behind you that is willing to help if you do get ganked it's fun. I enjoyed it. We had big pvp rp events and everything. V. Co is for Fite!
