Everliving like our people are, but I, too, shall die one day. The recent medical developments from Luna 1 will in all probability draw it out for quite a while yet, though, unless someone actually manages to get a good shot at me.
(Then her smile shifts to full-on mischief) Why?

But I'd rather not be on the divine end of things, between what little I remember from before the first war and what Rillyeneth has told me about her pantheon after she and her people fled their collapsing universe to this one. Got enough to do with Hills-and-Sky here.

Such a pity this last war made the younger organic species have a kneejerk reaction to us, we could be learning so much about the universe beyond where we have explored...

Mine, a brother's, mine, and mine. I can only vouch for one of them still existing, and at least one is definitely gone.

 

I think you should throw in rust balls, too.

Oh, those are beautiful. (Apostasia tilts her head at one of them. Is that recognition? No, can't be.) Are those rocs? The birds, I mean.
(At the mention that one of them is definitely gone, she sighs) So is life, the price for change is change itself, the passing of the old in favour of what comes after. But I am glad that these places are remembered.

Some entities regenerate after their bodies have died, I am told the process can be quite painful. The technical term was "ressurective immortality" if I recall correctly.

We're change and constancy and everything in between. Memories are no more stable than life.
