How am i ONLY NOW figuring out rhett and link were the peeps who did i love local commercials? Its right up their alley! Damn my face blindness that makes it so i cant recognise peeps when they have slight hair changes

theres these little neutron and proton and electron bits that, depending on how many of them cluster together, they react differently with each other.
and if they attach themselves to each other via electrons, it creates strange things like molecules.
molecules, man! those are. so fucking weird?? you have one that does a thing somehow, but if you wind it in the other direction suddenly it does something else entirely.

or light. light is like, fricking waves. and our eyes and brains differentiate the wavelength by creating colour. like, wth??
reality pls.

and dont get me started on gravity and magnetism.

speaking of colours, with the light spectrum from shorter visible waves (purple) to longer visible waves (red), how does blue and red make purple
how is this possible
why is it a colour circle. this is not supposed to be possible.

 

Purple is an illusion! Red and blue and yellow make a muddled gray brown color, right? Remove the yellow, and you get what we parse as purple. Red and blue, the far edges of color we can see.

 

i thought it was pink that's the illusion, according to some scientific study or other

It is! That whole section of "colors" is. Pink, magenta, purple. Indigo and violet historically don't really have red to them, they're just very dark intense blues. Anything that seems to get too far away from yellow is a mystery~~~~

I'm being silly. What I mean is, it doesn't have a wavelength. It's a combo color. I could look for references...

i'm surprised that violet doesn't have any red to it, since it looks partly red to me (redder than indigo, anyway).

jaw hurts. guessing its the wisdom teeth my orthodontist advised me to get taken out ten years ago, but my dad went that that probs isnt necessary and just costs money.
well, now theyre pressing on my other teeth and it aint a nice feeling.

when i went and told him that he did acquiesce, but mentioned that he never needed to have his taken out. well, i said, you've got a big mouth, dad!
(funny thing is that idiom works the same way in english and in my mother tongue. lols where had.)

now i only need to see if my health insurance covers wisdom teeth pulling, and if anyone can recc a good dentist in the area.

They were and are still collecting donations for Hurley childrens hospital in Flint, Michigan, which, awesome, they were aiming for $2500 and i havent checked how much they have now but after 9 hours they had $16,289

also at some point they or the chat started shipping Gex the horrible wisecracking gecko protagonist and Bubsy, a horrible wisecracking bobcat protagonist of his own series. clearly they were meant to be lmao and there now exists 100% more Gexby fanart in the world than there was before

theyre taking donations until early november so i should probably try to do that
