Trolls do some weird symbiosis thing with critters from their homeworlds? One lusus-critter to one grub or pupa or whatever they're insectoid man I don't even know... I mean if adult trolls eat undeveloped trolls it's probably a good idea to keep the young ones away from the adults so I can't really blame them for finding a workaround. [He shrugs.]
