    well, if you and i have a month or two to kill, we could just have the boys engage in small recuperating events? dozing, healing, fussing over reggie, fussing over the egg, erskin going stir crazy now that he's not spending every night a) blazed as hell and b) vampire-tranqued. dealing with his leg, especially if it gets infected from just constantly being stressed and raw. maybe a shopping trip for more clothes? i kind of like the idea of erskin sticking with the mode of dress cloris introduced him to, especially if it makes jethro and bel a little uneasy. maybe erskin could invite along the dish-dish girl, that could be funny. getting erskin a new phone and computer is needed, too.

    also, in about two nights, he's really going to be feeling vampire withdrawl, so, that'll probably be an interesting scene.

    you know what? hell fucking YES.

    i seem to have gotten it stuck in my head that everything has to be PLOT, and we have to keep it all moving along chop chop chop! because that's how i do when i'm writing fic. but you know what? boat trolls are for play-play, and i really love rp-ing recovery and hurt-comfort, and these little doses of humor and pathos all mixed together, and yes. yep good yes.

    and the idea of erskin making friends with lainey gawker is hilarious. :D you play her tho, i have way too many charas already :P

    there is also the new prosthetic. which i would happily take inspiration and ideas for, but basically i'm thinking bel went to the best of the best, and that's why it cost the troll equivalent of like a hundred grand. it is the lamborghini of prosthetic legs. also in my head the engineer looks like furiosa because i've got that on the brain, so they should probably all develop huge uncomfortable crushes on her immediately.

    Yeah, I'll play her, but you've been doing fine on dubbing her lines in, too. Anyway I'm just charmed at the idea of Erskin making an actual friend and then being very puzzled about it. Laney doesn't want his money or anything, just to hang out with an affable celebrity porn star prince and maybe hear some juicy insider gossip. And maybe to touch his butt a little. And the idea of someone treating Erskin with fawning star-struck respect in front of Bel and Jethro makes me grin.

    As for the prosthetic leg, hm. Erskin's such a technophobe he'd be horrified by switches and dials and flamethrowers and whatever. He likes simple stuff he can fix himself and recognize the parts of. His sense of style's definitely been changed towards fancy elegant stuff, so he wouldn't mind something nice-looking, but I think mostly he just wants it to be a leg that does leg things. Maybe he can practice not hurting Bel's feelings when he tries to decline.

    oh, i wasn't thinking switches and dials and flamethrowers. i was thinking something sleek and indestructible, like the winter soldier's arm. with some kind of future-tech color-changey enamel coating so he could tell it to display whatever color or pattern, maybe via a phone app.

    basically i figure if equius at 6 sweeps can make something like vriska's arm, a somewhat more social genius at 9 sweeps can make an elegant work of art.

    it'd be hilarious if he turned it down, though. poor bel. he'd feel so incredibly stupid for spending so much money on it. he'd donate the leg to charity and get stinking drunk.

    aw, that's no good. we'll figure it out when we get to that part, i guess! it might be cute if erskin grumblingly tried it out and then had to admit it wasn't so bad.

    ahaha oh my god, yeah. maybe he relentlessly teases bel about it till they get there like 'is there going to be a soap dispenser? will each toe dispense a different flavor of syrup? will it change colors to match my mood? does the kneecap have a glitter compartment?'

    it would be really redundant though! but we should use them for chatlogs.

    also just when the RP is gettin really steamy i need to go pass out. but i'll bounce some posts back tomorrow definitely.

    ((erskin's reaction to getting bitten is really overtly vampire-trained, if that's not super obvious already. if bel doesn't notice, jethro would, but it seems like bel would notice erskin responding really differently than he used to?))
