it only rained one time in my second spring. the day after I'd spent all my money on seeds.
i proceeded to bolt through spring at a mad pace, make 60k, and now it's the 1st of summer. it better rain :/ I've been getting everything ready to marry emily since winter.
i'm totally gonna propose in the bar while clint is there tho.
idc if nothing comes of it. i will know.

I proposed :D Day 11 of summer it rained. Which is kinda ideal tbh, because she likes jewel tones and summer is full of them and I put way too much thought into this x3 House is exceptionally gayly decorated atm. Using the witch house mod, @Ruevian and it's amazing. So pretty.
I might. Idk. Fiddle with the fireplace, if I figure out how. Ugly bricks. They would be greatly improved in grey over dirt brown..

I like to use this fireplace! Fair warning, though, it'll change the color of ALL the fireplaces in the game.

Next up on spooky fences: barbed wire to replace the first wood fence.

@Ruevian @Mercury what programs are you using to do the art for these? SAI isn't particularly good for pixelling. Or if there's a guide I could follow maybe?

I use photoshop! But GIMP is good and free.

Photoshop here too because I am a filthy pirate. GIMP should work fine though, and maybe Paint.NET.

Sweet, thank you! Can I ask what those red, yellow and green lines were when you were planning?

Basically an undersketch - I roughed out the outlines of the various parts, one part per layer, using bright colors so it was easier for me to tell everything apart. Then on new layers I drew the actual sprite art over them.

Right is with wood house color palette, left is with a new shade of wood. This took me way too long and I'm starting to feel a little burnt out.

I couldn't get real creative with this one, but at least it's not a straightup recolor of the original. Not sure what to do with all the empty space - I don't really care to make the coop bigger since they aren't supposed to be all that big, but something needs to be there to take up the rest of the footprint.

That doesn't seem like quite the right thing for a coop. It'll be a good idea for the barn if I make one that isn't quite as big as the sprite map, though! (And I probably will for at least one house set.)
Yeah, I was thinking if all else fails, MOAR BARRELS. This may be the set of mystery barrels and boxes everywhere. XD Hay bales is an even better idea. I can't recall if there's a good one in the sprite resources I can use, but it shouldn't be too hard for me to draw one.
But not everyone has a dog! Also it'd be weird for anyone who had more than one coop.

anyone with this building set is going to have a farm simply littered with crates at this rate. XD I like the burlap bag idea... I might have to draw them from scratch, though.
