Also that fusion dance is incredibly gay mostly because Pearl keeps GAYING UP THE PLACE WOW PEARL YOU BIG BIG GAY. Amethyst in tiny baby fluff mode is adorable and I'm crey. RAINBOW QUARTZ REMINDS ME OF MADONNA OKAY BYE THAT'S ALL WHAT A PRETTY GEM The nightmares were super terrifying, poor steven :( I wonder if this is part of Steven's healing powers or part of Lapis' power set that made her suitable for the mirror?It might be that Lapis is accidentally radio-ing her feelings into Psy space and that's why Steven could talk to her inside the abstract-headspace-of-Malachite during his dream. But it would be weird if that was it but Garnet couldn't track Malachite down then, because shouldn't Garnet's premonition pick up on that and allow her to find Malachite? hmm... Also now I wonder if this 'Abstracted-Headspace' is a thing because Malachite is super unstable or if it's basically a thing in all Gem-Fusions? Cuddly Ruby and Sapphire 24/7 in Garnet's head makes me smile so I kinda hope it's the latter even if it's unlikely I think Steven will break Malachite up to rescue Lapis, no matte rif it ends up freeing Jasper at this point. And tbh both of them would probably be better off breaking the fusion up it seems to have taken a heavy toll on both of them and I don't really wanna feel bad for Jasper but she seemed really panicked. Spoiler: now on a less serious note because I am kinky shipper trash The last episode, as messed up as it sounds makes me really want to ship Lapis and Jasper as a BDSM couple. Just. If they met under other circumstances and it was healthy and enthusiastic from both sides. Also just imagine sexy domme Lapis tying big tough Jasper up :3c

Spoiler: sardonyx Is the alternate birthstone for Peridot, and is in the same category of chalcedony as Jasper ..... this is all the more motivation to come up with a Welcome to NightVale gemsona, Bloodstone. and Oooh, what if there was a flint gemsona whose attacks were elemental like Lapis but instead was sparks/energy? speaking of jewelry, I have some pendants made of poly clay that are meant to look similar to real lapis- they're the right tear drop shape, and they're about an inch tall- if anyone is interested I could post pictures of them in the correct thread? Did anyone ever mention how many gems fought alongside Rose in the (First?) Gem War? There was one episode where they walked through a strawberry field and Pearl said some words about a big old battle, and I seem to recall her saying something like "thousands of gems fought here" or something? The context for this is that someone posted that Jasper had killed a million gems in the Gem War, and I feel like that is an absolutely ridiculous kill count, like was Jasper the only gem on Homeworld's side? Did she singlehandedly wipe out Rose's entire army? Did Rose manage to park a million gem army on some backwater dirtball? And now I am wondering how many people were involved in this conflict. I'm thinking the Crystal Gems had to have been a significant minority, but I wonder how many people Homeworld invested in keeping Earth under their control.
Also, wow, two weeks till another Stevenbomb. I kinda wonder why they aren't just going with one episode a week?
