I've seen elves exiled from their clans for cruelty to children and each other, but rarely for the simple matter of abrasive opinions. Typically those elves will leave of their own volition, since they're not happy in the clan and they won't be coddled for their hurt feelings if they can't help out in other ways.

I don't think my clan has killed someone for being a, er, "shit-for-brains". I know some have, especially if the rude person is a sh-- human. I'm... not entirely sure how to categorize what I've just walked into, though.

Well- I'd love to claim I actually worked much with non-intoxicating substances but the truth is rather that the oil droplets go quite well with some kinds of engex and that's why I learned how to make them.
It's fancier than the things I usually make for myself these days though.

Well mostly, it doesn´t. -shrugs- An´when it does I think ´s because th´Captains ignore an order or five an´do what makes actual sense.

Just...If you're gonna try to kill someone, you've gotta accept the ramifications of your actions. Even in a crazy place like this where people come back from the grave, there are consequences that will still affect others pretty heavily.

I mean, there are a bunch of people who got messed with pretty badly by this. Juice, for one, really does not like to see people kick the bucket, and I don't blame them.

Then there are those two other cronuses, Slicko and Scratches I think their names were? They didn't seem to be taking things very well either.

Like I said, I'm in no position to judge, but at the same time, I can't really turn a blind eye to someone trying to ignore the consequences.

Among my own people, you become an adult when you start to act like one. Living on your own with a bunch of people who follow and serve you means you're not only no longer a kitling, but a Lady, not yet a Queen because you have no kits nor kitlings, and very much responsible for what you do and what your followers do in your name."

Valiska smiles, showing all of her teeth.

"A Lady who is as unpleasant as you are and has unpleasant followers is a serious social problem. This situation does not often arise among my people, but when it does, things get ugly. That is why the Jalanenhal live on space stations. That is also when prides go to war, put an end to the sick pride, and do their best to foster and adopt any unlucky kits who are orphaned--but in groups like yours there are only rarely kits and any who are present are often grateful to be rescued once they understand that they are safe and will be loved."

She sighs.

"The wiggler is the very definition of an orphaned kit and in our world would be taken in by a pride and brought up as their own. Sometimes kits hurt people with their teeth and claws because they've not yet learned how to use them properly, but that is not abuse, that is ignorance and should be remedied by the adults who care for them by teaching them that they should not bite and scratch other people unless they feel legitimately threatened. Which would be an understandable thing for the wiggler to feel in your presence."

But I'm not talking about anyone harming ki- children, I'm talking about being rude. Surely killing people for insulting you cannot be called "keeping the peace."
