First off: wasn't actually attempting murder. Assault yeah and I realize I'm being a little pedantic on that point but I didn't intend to kill her and I didn't do so. That's all on the... what, silicate? The dude with the spears and the thing that thought adding explosions to the mix would help. I've already got the "not all organics are as durable as you seem please don't hit them" lecture so don't feel obliged to dig into that a second time.

Second off: "ignore the consequences"? Where did I do that? If I get my ass kicked for trying to punch a squishy that's my own damn fault. The only thing I can really remember that might maybe be construed as trying to ignore consequences was telling.... aw frag whatsisname... Bearing? Beriss? that the exploded person wasn't actually for-real dead and I only said that 'cause they were freaking out about permadeath!

So, uhm... (she turns to Berit) I think we started off the wrong foot here, because I didn't catch your name either. I'm Oneira Eluvei, greenblood, my symbol is Canes Venatici, and I got to ditch my mildly rough homeworld about a month ago, so societies and cultures in which aggression and violence aren't the norm are still alien for me. I wasn't offended, just genuinely confused.

To come back to the nobility thing, nobility is a stupid concept only blues and up can tote about, and I was talking more along the lines of necessity. Does that clear it up?

When I said nobility, I was being figurative -- it's just that I've said things, things which seemed trivial or perfectly reasonable or even necessary to point out, which people have interpreted as so rude they cannot be allowed to stand, and responded to with violence. And... I don't believe that those people were acting for the good of society. Does that make sense?

Aah, that attitude. Which is still blue and up, and that's the people who either run the area or get disposed by a couple lower casted people who're sick of it. If something makes sense to point out and you get attacked for it, it's a shorefire sign that the person who got offended is basically a liability and danger to the society.

I think I have a somewhat different experience with blowing up commands, so it would seem I'm going to sit here and remained confused and alarmed with that. Thank goodness this is... not the Fade, but close.
