-he is sleeping yet again, leaning against the chair his other universe sister is sitting in. he frowns and groans. this is not a pleasant dream. caineron is there. that fat fuck. but he is plotting he knows. it is why he fell asleep at all-

 

Jame casts an eye over him affectionately, not touching him but feeling him nonetheless. Poor Tori. Jame's a dreamwalker, but her dreams are more likely to confuse than scare her. Rather the opposite for Tori? Plus, so often their dreams are linked ... she wonders what the other Jame is off doing.

-she is off with caineron. talking. plotting. maybe. whatever it is it distresses him and he slumps over until he falls onto his side. IF ONLY WE KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT LORDLY BUSINESS THIS SOUNDS LIKE GOBLEDEGOOK-

-this is all very distressing and horrifying but he naps through it. this tentacle madness. jame is eating a cookie in the dream. why. is it poisoned. oh no. he whimpers in concern-

 

"That's a very big friend indeed. A swallower of worlds, perhaps?"

Don't bite me, devourer. My blood is poison and Destruction is in my hands.

 

Stop eating...

 

Jame reaches down a hand to touch the other-Tori lightly.

No nightmares, other-brother. Your sister is here. You are safe.

 

STOP EATING THE COOKIES.

-he bolts up horrified-

 

"Why?"

 

Why do you think? Why would you eat anything Caineron gave you! He...

-frowns at not his jame. as though this is her fault-

 

"You felt the other me, your Jame, didn't you? Caldane can be unsophisticated. But poisoning her food would implicate him. He can't have that." She grins, amused by the notion of Caldane fretting over that question.

"Besides, I'm hard to poison." She grins. "Wyrm venom, perhaps, but that would tie him to the Enemy clear as day."

 

Yes. Well, of course. That makes...A great deal of sense. Far too much, honestly.

-coughs awkardly-

It was my Jame, yes. I can't say it was happening right this second, though. The dreams are frustrating that way and there's very little to make them less so. They are...useful, however.

 

"She's more than equal to that idiot, except in cruelty. But if your Caldane is like mine, he's utterly fixated on her."

 

...that is one way to put it. Fixated on us, rather. My existence mucked up his plots and then there was the damnable dancing.

 

"Ah, you see -- I'm the dancer, too."

 

Is it what has gotten your Caldane so "focused" on you as well? Outside of ruining whatever dreams of grandeur he has simply by living, of course.

 

And it is strangely comforting to hear that you are the dancer. I suppose it only makes sense given where we had ended up. Senethari was a good man, though.
