Ford will, in fact, cheerfully find a way to fuck anything he falls in love with. But he has to be in love (or romantic hatred--he has had a kismesis and he would have another in SPR if he didn't know that watching The Handmaid put up with Scratch would hurt him more than it already does right now), which means there has to be an intellectual and emotional connection.

And he is really very much in love with two other people (Valiska and Sev) and therefore really not looking.
