Helios tends to agree with Valiska's sentiments, he's just also pretty aware that he's coming from a position of relative privilege wrt the sort of mindset slavery creates. So he tries not to make definitive statements on that particular matter, mostly so that he doesn't get his shit kicked in by an actual slave who doesn't need some uppity Dalish coming in and telling them what they should do.

Vali isn't trying to tell anyone what to do but she really has issues with people saying that implanted thoughts belong to the person who's having them and she would be a lot happier about having to have that argument if it weren't in front of Ford, who really does NOT NEED to be encouraged to feel responsible for anything he did while possessed by Bill.
