Halloween is evil

We don't get trick-or-treaters in my actual town, alas. However, there's a neighborhood in a nearby town that really gets Halloween--trick-or-treaters everywhere, most houses are decorated...there's even a lady who, every year, dresses up as a witch and has a cauldron full of "witch's brew" (actually ice-cold apple juice) for the trick-or-treaters! (Always helpful after a long night walking around. :3)

There's also a trick-or-treat thing downtown, which I always attend.

 

I got to experience trick-or-treaters in NY state, which was fun! My parents' place is up in the woods at the end of a very dark, secluded drive, so we didn't get any there, and our apartment is gated so we don't get any here either.

as far as candy im excited for during discount week, its gotta be those mini crunch bars, crackles, and kit kats. i always lucked out with those because i cant stand caramel and dont like peanut butter or nuts in chocolate, so i had all kinds of shit to trade with when everyone was comparing loot and wanted to get rid of the "boring" stuff.

candy corn and those mini pumpkins are good too, and i love making rice crispy treats. i'll still eat caramel apples too because thats just good. the juice and sour from the granny smiths helps tremendously with the texture and overpowering sweetness of caramel.

Whelp Halloween proper has been over on my end for a few hours now given Celtpol time measuring methods. But is still also going based off my bullshit methods. Which means that Samhain both is and is not here.

Which means DEATH.
