Man I really want to play her and test out her kit. Apparently she's doing obscene damage right now, so I'd like to know if that's going to get tweaked to shift her to less of a "rooty tooty point and shooty" playstyle and more of a "hahahaha my team is going to RUIN YOU" playstyle.

They'll definitely get that under control before launch, that's what the PTR is for.

They often start with the character too powerful and do tiny nerfs downward until they're level, it seems

 

are people playing her right now? i downloaded PTR and she isn't on it, i thought she wasn't coming out until next week?

People are playing her at Blizzcon, and a couple people are streaming/recording the playstyle. Apparently the Overwatch Reddit has a couple videos on it of people doing that, which makes sense, last Blizzcon had a similar deal with Overwatch play videos.

 

Oh yeah, she'll be an enormous pain in the ass. But! She uncloaks if you damage her, which automatically makes her less of an annoyance than TF2's Spy. All in all, she looks like good fun to play, but will be Genji and Tracer levels of hell in the hands of a good player. Genji and Tracer as played by good players.

ok i am here for this but also: sombra <3< symmetra

 

i am 100% serious, symmetra would find sombra insufferable under the right circumstances and it'd be great.

(...then again, once sombra players start getting the hang of the ult cancelling, everyone is going to find sombra insufferable.
i am already crying inside.)

 

Man but also consider: Symmetra fuckhouse over a health pack. A Sombra hacked health pack.

What I'm saying is if you think Sombra is bad, Sombra with Symmetra as backup is much worse.

 

I want to know if she can be injured when invis. If so, D.va's cannons and their area denial may prove pretty useful.

 

I mean, they're both teleporters too...

edit: she can take damage while invisible, but she then immediately stops being invisible.

 

Doing sweeps with Zarya's beam would be handy too. Since either would knock her out of stealth, she'd have to be smart on her feet with it.

 

Yay. So characters with AoE abilities will give her trouble. Junkrat's traps and mines. Widowmaker's poison mines. D.Va's cannons. Splash damage from Pharah's rockets.

Do we know how many HP she has?
