Yeah, feel free--depending on who it was and what she did to them, she mighta took pictures, videos, written letters to them, made them write letters to her, all kinds of nasty things. It would be encrypted under a zillion passcodes but I'm pretty sure Bel could get in.

 

bel: 'so, i saved you from the evil lady.'
erskin: 'i liked her!'
bel: 'yeah, i saved you from her. from the lady. she's evil.'
erskin: 'but i liked her.'
bel: 'well you can stop liking her now, because she's evil, and dead.'
erskin: 'i'm not happy about this.'
bel: 'WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU.'

 

i'm sorry it's frustrating for bel and/or you that erskin's refusing to process that he was badly used by a horrible person, but on my end i figure like, he just failed to save her from getting killed in front of him two or three days ago and has been pretty sick ever since, even if his pan wasn't scrambled he'd be having kind of a hard time working through all this?

 

ok! i'll keep that in mind. at some point you should probably get a turn on the h/c-mobile tho haha, erskin's been hogging the wheel.

 

awwww, bel. hypothetically, how would erskin play into this constructively, in a way that was healthy for bel and actually goaded him into fixing his shit? i know erskin plays passive aggression so operatically it's not even remotely passive. maybe he's good for poking bel into actually boiling over. or at least standing around hooting derisively at bel's completely unimpressive sulks. erskin's sulks involve trashing an entire hotel room, bel, keep up!

edit: come to think of it, this is probably what bel meant when he pointed out that whenever he's vulnerable around erskin, erskin gets really condescending and shitty. bel's version of 'vulnerable' is 'starting to let off some feelings steam' and comes off to erskin as 'sanctimoniously whiny'. hence it deserves a thorough mocking, not sympathetic agreement.

huh! interesting. also slightly a bummer, since erskin is casually magnanimous but feels no sense of kinship with the rest of the clade. he respects pancho and feels a little protective of galley, but just... doesn't see the group as a social unit he's a part of or beholden to. erskin's got a ways to go before he's ready to join bel in taking care of the family. i think erskin's also got a ways to go before he weathers conflicts.... well? rather than a sort of 'haha i'll probably survive this!' solo run through whatever flaming wreckage he finds himself sucked into. again, teamwork and group membership: not something he gets right now. plus he's not a great example of the 'take life as it comes' philosophy since he regularly spectacularly almost dies. hm hmm.

maybe fighting together would help erskin figure out how to stand at bel's side, properly, and that bel wants him to? but it seems like erskin would be more encouraging bel to stop taking everything so damn seriously, rather than stepping up and being another one of bel's officers.
