A mostly-human concept, so far as I can tell. When one only has two genetic parents, and the parents produce offspring, and within that family unit sexual contact is initiated.

Because they have to happen, brother, the pressure builds up, it needs to be released. I did my best to make sure it was in short bursts and never for long in the same spot. Decay should be even and equal, not a single spot in the fabric of the universe necrotizing and festering while the rest remains unscathed.
