'cause of how they are lost and each exemplifying their core flaw, and how frisk saves them by doing things that remind them of themselves and brings their character development back, makes them themselves again.

and the two choruses, well, i look at them and some of the lines in each seem to fit certain undertale characters.

i'm not gonna go into which, especially since some lines could be said to fit more than one and i bet some of the comparisons that come to mind are obvious, just yeah... feels. i have feels.
