i am team Popplio for LIFE. tbh i was leaning heavily toward Nicki Minaj for the name but i might also go with a name of a specific siren or something :U

Went to the GameStop, bought the game and got a ticket to redeem at midnight, currently at home waiting for headache to be completely gone. Then hopefully I can take my pills and won't be nauseous later??

I'm going to be attending a midnight launch at my local gamestop, and will be posting my experiences and reactions here and on my tumblr (if you care about that one, just ask). For now I am going to take a nap.

 

Story time.

I live in a poly triad, meaning there's three of us and we like each other. Both my partners are lifelong pokemon fans, and I rather like it, but I've only begun playing pokemon games recently. Well, in the past few years recently. When Pokemon Go came out, they flipped their collective shit, joined immediately, and picked two different teams. I waited a few weeks until the server troubles were mostly over, and then, because I liked what I had heard about it online, picked the third team, the one neither of them are in.

Like every other Gamestop, our Gamestop is having a midnight Sun/Moon release party. Everyone's getting ready to go now. Well, almost everyone.

Lilly, who was team Valor on day one, is dressed in her pikachu outfit (almost everything she is wearing has pikachu on it because she has that much devotion) and has a pokeball-shaped bag and is going to pick up the (I think) three copies of the game she ordered. Maybe four. She was ready hours ago.

Aya, who is team Mystic, had to be reminded five times this is happening, and despite being super pumped about it and planning out how they were going to get there three weeks ago, is still late to get ready. Because she forgot somehow.

I'm the one in team Instinct. I'm tired and I'm not going. I'll catch up later, friends.

 

I'm probably going to go with Rowlet? THough I might do what I did with 5th gen and give Litten's middle an evolite and just keep him in the second stage. If I go Rowlet, I'm thinking Soren, because I loved the Guardians of Ga'hoole when I was little. Soren or possibly Lyze. If I happen to get a girl, She'll be Eglantine.

If I go Litten, I'll probably name him/her Mrelle. I'm definitely gonna have a Vulpix/Ninetales, but my go to nicknames for them (Ghost or Astarael) don't fit alola's ninetales quite as well. I may go with Maeve for this one.

JUST CAUGHT SHINY ABRA BEFORE SHE COULD TELEPORT AWAY, OMG. Her name is Glittee (I fat fingered E + enter when trying to test whether GlitterB would work, whoops). Apparently I am just stupid lucky and the shiny catch rate hasn't actually increased this gen? I love this game... also POKEFINDER PHOTOS. My photos of Growlithe are the best. I am an arteest.

also i 100% impulsively went to a gamestop, got in line at 11:50, and waited outside in the cold in Team Skull cosplay without a jacket for like 30 minutes. i didn't preorder from gamestop so i had to wait for all the ppl with preorder tickets to get their copies

i now have moon and hot chocolate. heck yes

Oh no... the nightmare becomes reality....... I don't have enough pokedollars to buy all of the apparel and try all of the hair colours. My only option is joining Team Skull to help me make $$$. Sorry guys, but all your pokemon are mine now. I don't make the rules!

All I ever want out of new Pokemon games is the Pokemon-follow-you mechanic from HG/SS, and I never get it.
