Can fic authors (and just authors generally) stop referring to lady parts as "golden"
It's weird and creepy and does not conjure the mental images they think it does.

 

I'm imagining an incident with king Midas's wife.
... And somehow I feel there's an Oglaf comic about that.

 

I'm thinking of that Harry Potter fic which described "love pouring out of every inch of her being like golden water". That produced some pretty inappropriate thoughts as well.

"Genocidio" as a title is making me think of Mr Welch being told to pick a "manly" name for his RPG character and "Genocidicles" being vetoed.

...Is referring to ladybits as "golden" the new "molten core?" Because that was a thing that drove me nuts. Also, "cock hound" (cock-anything really) and "their tongues battled for dominance." No, no they didn't.

Can rape maybe not be used as the only bad thing that can happen to someone, please? Maybe I was spoiled by the gruesome death traps in the adventure books I read as a kid, but there are so many horrible things one could do instead.

 

And the way to tell us that a character is Bad, too. You don't have to have them rape someone for the edge.

Every time i see a siren fic i die a little on the inside when its just mermaids who can sing. Sirens were half bird, not half fish, and have more in common with early greek harpies. Id care less if id ever seen even ONE siren fic that was actual sirens but ive been reading fic since i was 13 and have yet to find one.

I normally wouldnt gripe because its a very common mistake but ARGH
