Having "people want to have sex sometimes" influence the social norms I'm expected to follow, and being expected to know that these norms are there, and people being mysteriously really weird about a situation if it might possibly conceivably involve sex

Not current, I was just remembering being a dumb teenager and riled myself up

got a review on one of my fics from an anon that thought i didn't know what smut was 'cause the abandoned fic hadn't reached the smut part i was planning on yet and i wanted to make sure things were warned for as fully as possible ahead of time

like, dude, the fic wasn't even finished yet, and i'm pretty sure plenty of people have warned for sex on uncompleted fics that never actually got that far

and i feel like an idiot, even though the anon was wrong and i know smut is sex and knew it when i was writing the fic

Dad no one can help you do housework if you do it all before everyone gets home from work/school. Don't go complaining to me about it when you do this to yourself.

Dad, I love you and I know you are on a health kick and want to commiserate about cutting carbs but as a dfab person with a long history of body image issues I would appreciate if you didn't grill me on my food intake and exercise routine every time I call :/

"Hey internet, how do I do this thing in a specific way so I can do it?"

"Why would you do that?? It's better to do it in this other way you can't do it."

"But... I can't do it that way. How do I do it this other way?"

"I only know answers for the way you can't do it. The Best Way is the Only Way."

-Me googling what computers are good for casual gaming and getting so many results for Building Your Own Gaming Computer (which is a fine option but not one that I have!!!!!!!!!!!!)

    @Shingleback I EMPATHISE VERY MUCH

And like...I *kind* of have the option of building one. It's not impossible for me to do, and the actual process of putting it together is not very complicated as far as I can tell. But I don't want to study the dimensions of every cheapo tower to see if my randomly chosen cheapo motherboard will fit. And I want one number to call if it doesn't work properly.

Just. Building a computer seems like an fun thing to do if you're interested in computers and want the satisfaction of having built a thing. I can understand that. But I just want to press a button and play a game.

I bought my first pc from These guys, and then upgraded/swapped things out for the next 9 ish years until I built my own. the nicests thing about them is that you can go into any of the computers they have and customize them a bit, as in remove things like, led lights and stuff that cost extra. I don't know about your budget, but you could ask questions about components/whats a good computer in The Computer Building Rave if you wanted any more information about the specific computer. You could also look at Newegg, or look into a steam machine for casual gaming. I hope this doesn't come off as rude, but computers are a bit of a special interest for me.

  16. Technicality

Technicality All's fair in love and shitposting

What do you mean by "casual gaming?" Like, only playing occasionally? Or like playing more regularly but with smaller games?
In most cases it is actually cheaper/easier to build it yourself but if that isn't an option than I can recommend that you go out and get a multipurpose desktop. If it isn't good enough, you can buy new internals and stuff 'em in. Graphics cards are usually the bottleneck on gaming computers, so maybe if you have a computer store nearby (e.g. MicroCenter) you could ask someone there?

Saw some guy today who had rather badly set off my creepdar at a party a while ago. Tfw you want to look for reasons to be justified in your distaste for a near stranger but also want to keep them as much of a stranger as possible.
