Catching all 151, er, 368, er ... a lot: The Pokemon Infodump Party!

Huh! I kind of expected he would be battled and caught a lot sooner! Like Latias/Latios in ORAS.

 

Are dusk balls still a thing and has their catch rate been changed? iirc, dusk ball under optimal conditions had a better catch rate than ultra balls, but i don't know if they nerfed that.

 

I feel like I'm going to the elite 4 on victory road. :/ I haven't even caught lunala yet but almost all my Pokemon are close to if not already lv 50, and prior games I was always in the low/mid 50s for the elite 4

that means you have awhile to go. i guarantee you will have lunala before the elite four. it's okay to be upper-leveled though, since the levels are kind of inconsistent.

I've actually been actively avoiding the trainer's and fleeing wild encounters since lv 30 or so? So I'm not sure how much more I'm going to gain.

cosmog has to be shiny, first, and i think the first one you get is shiny-locked. you have another chance -- for your new cosmog in after-game, it has a pink blush.

My gf and I are trading legendaries so it's OK on that front, but it means I have to give her my already evolved lunala and train my cosmog myself instead of us trading and riding the boosted exp coattails

good lord my team almost got wiped during the totem battle for Mallow, the only reason it didn't totally destroy me was because i had 8 revives

...my team was entirely ground/rock/water except for my underleveled Fletchinder don't look at me

They conveniently put Smeargles next to low level Gastlies. I think they WANT me to make a Pokémon specifically for catching Pokémon.
