I love how Yuuri gets more competitive and determined the more pressure is on him. I love how the dislike and disrespect other people show him only makes him want to try harder. I love HOW THIS SOFT MARSHMALLOW HAS A CORE OF STEEL.

He's so much stronger than people give him credit for and I hope we get to see that through him helping Victor, who seems to me like glass, polished and perfect and so brittle.

i find it really great how it's only the possibility of failing to meet up to his supporters' expectations that causes yuuri to become anxious and fall apart, but when expectations for him are low he performs flawlessly out of spite

I'm a little disappointed that they didn't address the kiss at all. Have they talked it out with each other? Or are they just kind of letting it be and are going to look at it later? I was expecting at least a little bit of monologue from Yuuri talking about how he feels about it.

With this show I'm not really afraid they're going to walk back on it, but I do wish I knew what was going on in their heads.

Yuuri was way more openly affectionate and comfortable with Victor though, so that was pretty cool.

And poor Yuri's pissy little murder face, I love him so much, the bit with the cat ears made me howl.

yurio is great and i love him and i am so glad he's back (this episode is going to hurt me isn't it)

also everyone talking about viktor and the expectations he has of himself (and others have of him) made yurio's lil "You're not the top skater in Russia anymore" barb actually hurt me. (probably not viktor. i remember yuri struggling a bit with just about everyone being younger than him but I can't tell if Viktor is as horrifically scared of failiure/people that much younger surpassing him as I would be in that situation. i mean jeez i gave up drawing entirely bc my younger sibling did it too :I

Honestly, I don't hate JJ? But then I'm always a fan of the egoistic shitlords who act like idiots and get their asses handed to them, which I can only imagine is what's gonna happen.

I'm really enjoying the diversity of personalities that all the skaters have. Although they don't get a ton of screen time they are all very clearly presented and unique. And I feel like unlike some other sports anime they don't feel like they have to make all of them super likable. For people like JJ or Michele or even Yuri they're fine showing their flaws as just part of who they are, not something that's softened to the point of not really counting as a negative.
